Chapter 139 I Know What She Is Up To
Not far away, a crowd of people had gathered.
There were doctors and nurses from the hospital, while the rest were passersby.
Lysanne took another step back, her foot landing on the solid white line of the motorway. Just then, a car whizzed past, narrowly missing her by mere inches.
The driver of the car seemed to have been startled as well, hastily pulling over and stopping the vehicle. He swung the door open to look behind him.

Everyone was on edge no her account, with Fred standing at the forefront, laden with worry. He gently advised, “Ms. Lysanne, please calm down. We can discuss whatever the matter is. Could you please come back first? Your current position is too dangerous.”
Lysander turned a deaf ear, simply asking, “Where is she? Has she arrived?”
“Soon… She’s almost here.”

As Fred spoke, he attempted to approach her, reaching out in an effort to pull her back.

Lysanne noticed and immediately took a large step back.
Another car had passed by, almost brushing against her body. The sight elicited a gasp of shock from those [ present.
“Don’t come any closer! If you take another step, I’ll keep backing away!”
“Alright, alright, I won’t come over. Ms. Lysanne, just calm down…”
“Why hasn’t that b*tch shown up yet? You promised me half an hour. Why aren’t they here yet?”
Lysanne’s eyes were bloodshot. Her hysterical screams made her eyes appear even redder. His appearance was so terrifying that it instilled fear in everyone present, causing them to hesitate before daring to approach her again.
Lysander was also somewhat shocked.
It’s only been a few days since I’ve not seen her. How did Lysanne suddenly end up like this?
Adrian had just ended a phone call when he told her. “Don’t go over there yet. The police are on their way.”
Lysander gave a slight nod.
Yet, for some reason, Lysanne managed to spot her in the crowd, her gaze fixed directly on Lysander. “You b*tch! What are you hiding there for? You dare to seduce my husband but are not brave enough to admit it?”
In an instant, everyone turned their gaze toward Lysander.
She remarked, “It seems like I can’t avoid going over.”
Adrian grabbed her wrist. “She’s emotionally unstable right now. I’m afraid she might hurt you.”
Lysander said, “Take a look around you. If we let her continue, the hospital won’t be able to resume its operations. What about the patients inside?”
Chapter 139 I Know What She Is Up To
Adrian was furrowing his brows deeply.
Lysander said, “She wants to see me. Even if the police were to come, I’d have to confront her. Otherwise, this situation would never be resolved.”
“But…”
“Enough,” Lysander said. “I know what she’s up to. If we delay any further, the hospital’s reputation will be at stake. Dr. Ziegler has been good to me. Even though this isn’t my fault, I can’t let the whole hospital suffer
because of me.”
After she finished, Lysander pushed through the crowd and walked out.
Standing firm on the pedestrian crossing, she said, “Lysanne, I’m here. What do you want to say?”
Lysanne burst into laughter. “What do I want to say? Everyone, come take a look. The brilliant medical student standing before me and the department head of the obstetrics and gynecology department at Central Hospital took advantage of my vulnerable period while pregnant to seduce my husband! She tried repeatedly and used all kinds of methods to get close to a married man, her behavior is utterly despicable! Now, my husband wants to leave me for her, even suggesting that I abort the child, as he wants to sever ties with me completely! This is the esteemed doctor of Central Hospital for you!”
As soon as these words were spoken, a wave of shock swept through the crowd.
A gynecologist from the hospital seducing the husband of a pregnant woman was an incredibly sensational
news.
Fred was well–aware of the situation and hastily spoke up. “Ms. Lysanne, you can’t distort the truth like that! Dr. Thorne and Mr. Guerra were married before you came into the picture. You weren’t the one that came first…”
“What do you mean I wasn’t the one who came first? I’ve known Josiah for more than twenty years. We’ve grown up together, so who’s to say who was first or last?”
“This…”
Fred wasn’t sure of the facts, so his gaze shifted toward Lysander.
When Lysander didn’t deny it, Fred felt even more uneasy. “Lysander…”
With a soft chuckle, Lysander slowly stepped forward.
