Chapter 118 Do You Not Love Her
Josiah staggered several steps backward. He collided heavily with the wall behind him and let out a muffled grunt.
He seemed to be in genuine agony. He slid down along the wall until he was crouched in the corner.
Lysander hadn’t anticipated that Josiah, a man of such towering stature, would be so easily pushed away by her. The unexpectedness of it all caught her off guard.
“Josiah.”
His voice was muffled as he responded, “Mm.”
“Can you stand up?”
He lifted his head, his eyes red and his voice a touch hoarse. “Yeah.”
He struggled to his feet and exhaled a heavy sigh.
His spirits were still quite low.
He was about to bend down to pick up the two shopping bags when Lysander stopped him. “Just stay put,” she said. “I’ve got this.”
“Let me.”
“You can’t even walk.”
“I can.”
“Josiah.”
“I really can. Trust me.” Josiah lifted his head, lightly licking his lips. “Lysander, I just want to help
Lysander remained silent.
“Go open the door,” he added.
She hadn’t noticed before, but as Josiah drew closer, she could smell a strong scent of alcohol.
She turned around to open the door, illuminating the room with the flick of a switch.
I just moved in. It’s still a bit messy.”
When Josiah entered, he was rather cautious. “Should I change my shoes?”
“No need, I haven’t mopped the floor yet.”
“I’ll help you later, then.”
“If you can stand in

Josiah felt a bit awkward. “I’m sorry for the trouble.”
“It’s all right.”
“Where should I put these things for you?”
“Just leave it by the wall. I’ll take care of it later when have time.”
Josiah nodded, neatly placing the two shopping bags before glancing around. “This place is a bit small, but it’s well-arranged. You’ve always had a knack for living well. Once you’ve put your touch on this place. I’m sure it will be very cozy.”
“Aren’t you feeling unwell? Why don’t you take a seat?”
Josiah nodded and sat down on the couch in the living room.

Lysander pulled out several bottles of mineral water from the shopping bag and poured them into the kettle to boil.
“Now answer me.”
Josiah looked at her back and asked somewhat bewilderedly, “Answer what?”
“How did you know I moved?”
Only Daphne knew about her moving. She hadn’t even had the chance to tell Lynn.
Josiah replied, “Daphne posted on her social media.”
Lysander unlocked her phone, and sure enough, she saw a post that Daphne had shared on her soc media feed earlier that afternoon.
She had snapped a photo of her hauling her suitcase up the stairs and captioned it: A grown woman makes her own way.
She had even attached a pitiful, teary-eyed emoji.
Lysander’s lips twitched.
She wondered if Daphne had done it on purpose, as she had specifically pinpointed the location of the residential area.
“I have a friend who follows Daphne. He saw her post and informed me about it.”
Lysander knew there was such a person.
However, she found it a bit hard to comprehend Daphne’s recent actions. Knowing full well that Josiah might find out my new address, why would she purposely share my location?
