Chapter 1507Without a second thought, Susan jumped into Callum’s car.
Callum hit the gas and the car sped away.
An hour later, they pulled up at Starhaven Airport.
Susan was surprised, “Why are you bringing me to the airport?”
“If Lysander’s decided to come after you, he won’t stop until he’s got you. If you stay in Starhaven,
you’ll be caught sooner or later. Just hide abroad,” Callum explained calmly.
“What am I supposed to do overseas? I don’t know anyone there; I’ll just end up starving…” Susan
protested, reluctant to leave the country.
Life was already tough for her in her homeland, and now Callum was suggesting she go abroad!
Life would be even tougher in a foreign land.
Callum glared at her furiously, “Fine, you don’t want to go abroad? I’ll just call Lysander right now to
tell him you’re here. You’ll be caught sooner or later, so might as well be now!”
With that, he actually pulled out his phone, ready to make the call.
“Don’t call him!” Susan panicked, grabbing Callum’s hand to stop him. Just the mention of
Lysander’s name had her breathing heavily in fear. She had been resistant to the idea of going
abroad, but now, thinking it over, she realized Callum was right. If she stayed in Starhaven,
Lysander would catch her eventually.
Lysander was a biggie. With his influence in Starhaven, how could she ever hope to hide?
Only by going abroad could she ensure her safety.”I’ll go abroad. Just tell me which country, and I’ll go,” Susan looked at Callum as if he was her
savior.
She could not afford to be caught by Lysander; the consequences would be dire. It had been three
years, yet Lysander’s feelings for Thalassa were still so deep. Not only had he tricked her into
saving Thalassa, but he was also now settling the scores with her.
Lysander’s actions were all because he cared too much for Thalassa. She had messed with
someone Lysander cared about, and now she was a wanted woman in the entire city.
Susan was so envious of Thalassa. Why did she get the affection and protection of two men while
Susan was reduced to a fugitive, living a life on the run?
“My private jet is at the airport. The captain will take you to Weston Country. You’ve managed to
survive in Starhaven; you’ll find a way to make it in Weston Country,” Callum said emotionlessly,
opening the car door for Susan to get out.
Before leaving the car, Susan asked with a bitter tone, “You’re helping me because you’re worried
that if Lysander catches me, I’ll tell him you were the one who supplied the plane and the explosives
three years ago.”
Callum’s jaw tensed, but he remained silent.
Susan, on the other hand, laughed derisively, “You’re worried about this secret getting out not
because you fear Lysander’s wrath, but because you’re afraid Thalassa will see your true colors and
despise you deeply, right?”
Callum’s gaze turned fierce, and he clenched his teeth as he shot her a look, “Shut up! Are you
going or not? If not, I’m calling Lysander!”
“You seemed miffed. Struck a nerve, have I? Ha…” Susan’s laugh was tinged with sorrow.”That slut Thalassa really had her means. She even managed to capture your heart in such a short
time. But Callum, I feel pathetic for you. Thalassa will never love you. She doesn’t even love
Lysander. She could abandon her ex-boyfriend and watch him die without a shred of compassion of
responding to his sentiment. She only considered herself, so she could never care for you! You’d
better face reality sooner rather than later!”
After her piece, Susan got up and left the car without looking back.
Callum clenched his teeth, his usually smiling eyes now filled with darkness and suppressed rage,
his grip on the steering wheel tightening.
