Chapter 1348
Thalassa shouted, her head spinning. She was overwhelmed by grief and agitation, to the point where she felt she might collapse any moment.
“Thalassa!” Lysander wrapped his arms around her, holding her trembling form steady, preventing her from falling.
“Let me go…” Thalassa managed to gather some sense of composure and pushed against him once more.
She wanted nothing to do with him right now; she just wanted to be as far away from him as possible.
Some mistakes simply couldn’t be forgiven, just like he couldn’t forgive her when he thought she was Bruce’s daughter.
Lysander didn’t let go, instead, he held her even tighter. Seeing her pale face, he scooped her up in his arms.
Striding towards the door, he called out to Astrid, “Take care of the kids, and we’ll be right
back.”
“Oh, okay.” Astrid said in a bewildered and timid tone.
The four little munchkins were about to follow, but stopped when they heard their father’s
words.
Their father had asked Astrid to take care of them, which meant they were not to follow.
The little ones were always understanding, and seeing that both their mom and dad were clearly not in a good place, they refrained from following, not wanting to cause any more
trouble.
“Kids, let’s continue with our meal,” Astrid said as she led them back to the dining table.
They had only eaten half their breakfast when all the commotion started.
Lately, Astrid’s arthritis had been acting up.
“Astrid, take a seat, please. Be careful,” Atticus stepped forward to adjust her chair for her “Alright, you sit down too,” Astrid nodded her approval.
Lysander carried Thalassa to the car and gently placed her inside.
Regaining a bit of her strength, Thalassa struggled fiercely, “Lysander, what are you trying to do! Let me go!”
“Stay still!” Lysander commanded as he buckled her in with the seat belt, then he returned to the driver’s seat and started the car.

Chapter 1348
As the car pulled away, Thalassa’s panic surged, her breathing erratic. Her eyes, bright with unshed tears, glared at Lysander. “Lysander, are you insane? What do you want to
do?”
She remembered all the times when he’d taken his frustrations out on her, disregarding her feelings and nearly driving her to the brink.
Now that she was hanging on by a thread, would he still not let her be?
Lysander glanced at her with his deep-set eyes, his hands firmly on the wheel, “Don’t be afraid. I won’t hurt you. I’m taking you to the city hall.”
Thalassa froze, and she asked in shock, “Why are you taking me to the city hall?”
Out of the corner of her eye, she caught sight of a birth certificate in the glove
compartment.
It was Lysander’s birth certificate!
Suddenly, Thalassa remembered what Lysander had spoken to her last night, when he unexpectedly showed up in her room and sat beside her bed.
He said he wanted to marry her, to make her his wife.
She had thought it was a cruel joke. But now, he was truly taking her to the city hall to get married!
She had asked him countless times before if he would marry her, and the answer had always been a resolute no.
He even told her not to daydream!
And yet, here he was now actually taking her to the city hall to tie the knot!
But sadly, she no longer wanted to be his bride
“Stop the car. Let me out!” Thalassa’s breathing was ragged, her voice intense.
Lysander glanced at her with a stern look. “When we get there, I’ll stop.”
He was doing it again, forcing her into something she didn’t want!
