“So what time do you want
it us to go out tomorrow? Everything is in your control Em.” I read Sean’s text and I smiled.
After the pool party, the relationship between the both of us had been good but it would be wrong if I didn’t let you know what went down between the both of us at the pool party.
After Lola had jumped into the pool and everyone else did, Sean came over to my side taking me by surprise. I honestly didn’t expect him to but he did and I took it as him taking a step towards being the boy I wanted.
We spoke and he threatened to push me into the water but at the end of the day, we ended up going inside my parent’s mansion and making out. When we finished, we came out to join the rest of everyone.
“I will think about it and get back to you,” I texted back.
“Alright then. If you say so. I look forward to seeing you in school tomorrow.” He sent texts almost immediately.
He makes me smile a lot. He replies to my text fast and doesn’t sleep unless I’m also first. It hasn’t even been long since we started what we have but I’m already over the moon for him or maybe I’m feeling this way because I’ve always liked him and finally I’m getting good treatments from him.
I slept off with a big smile on my face and the next day I woke up still with the same smile on my
face.

“You seem to be in a good mood. Do you want to share what’s making you happy?” Ethan asked and I rolled my eyes at him.
What’s he busy with what makes me happy and what doesn’t make me happy? I’m not in the mood to banter with him so it would be best for him to mind his business..

“And can you learn to mind your business? You seem to always want to be in my business and in case you don’t know, it’s irritating.” I replied with a fake smile on my face.
“You don’t always have to be difficult, I am just being a good brother to you and besides I’d love to know what it is that’s making you happy.” Ethan replied and I rolled my eyes at him.
“Tell someone else that and I’m sure they’d be easily fooled that you care and stop this attitude of yours. I’ve told you that I don’t want it and I don’t like it.”1 reminded him.
“And the day you stop rolling your eyes and accept that I care about you then you would be a great day. I care for you Emma,” he replied.
“You don’t care for me because if you do then you won’t be getting on my nerves at every opportunity you get. The fact I warned you about this here you refuse to listen. If only you know how annoying it is speaking to you all the time about the same thing yet no effort.” I clicked my tongue.
I came for you, Emma. I’m not perfect…”
“Just stop with all of this. It’s tiring and it’s too early. I don’t want to hear it. You are exhausting honestly and you don’t realize it. And don’t say any more words. I don’t want to hear it, alright?” I warned after cutting him off.
It’s how he effortlessly makes me angry. Thank goodness we both have our car compared to when we were taken to school

“Wait up. Let’s go together,” Ethan said from behind me but I refused to stop walking as I knew the reason he was only following was to make me angry and I refused to let him have that chance,
“Come on Emma, I might not be the best brother but I care for you and you know that. Drive me to school,” he said as we reached my car.
1 batted my eyes “What did you just say? Drive you to school? Did I hear you wrongly?”
“No, you didn’t. Please drive me to school,” he pleaded,
“Can’t you stay away? Please stay away from me. I don’t want to speak to you and why do you get so much happiness from making me angry? Just why?” I questioned.

“Save it, Ethan. Will you stop talking if I let you get into my car? asked and he smiled.
“Fine then. Get in and you better don’t speak because I don’t want to speak to you and I don’t have the strength to speak to you,” I reminded him.
1 got into my car and he got into my car too. “Remember to keep quiet or I promise to throw you out of this car,” I warned.
“Why are you acting this way towards me? I mean I admit that I’ve been making you angry but it’s all for your sake. I only want to protect you and that’s why whatever I do for you, I do it because I care,” he spoke even after I told him he shouldn’t
I groaned. “Do you even listen and how many times are we going to talk about this same issue? I’ve told you times without numbers, haven’t I? I do not want to speak to you about this and no, you aren’t doing all of this because you care, you are doing it to get on my nerves and it’s seriously annoying!”
“No, shut up Ethan. You are doing too much! You forget that we are both twins and we both have our separate lives, Not too long on our seventeenth birthday, you apologized to me and promised to change but then you go back to being after!”
“I’m not even done. Let’s talk about is you make everyone stay away from me because on your terms you are prot which you aren’t and let’s also talk about how you constantly make me angry. You make me go crazy for how you a towards me!” I complained bitterly.
“I’m not done speaking Ethan and until I’m done speaking, you will not speak okay?” I warned.
“You do everything because of you and not for me so don’t use me as an excuse. You are popular in school so it’s easy for you to get things done your way but it’s not the same for me. It’s not! How would you feel if you were in my shoes and I was dictating for you? How would you feel? Just tell me?”
“I don’t even have issues with no one wanting to be close to me but them not wanting to be close to me because you’ve threatened them is just absurd! You are my brother and you are supposed to be my best friend yet you’ve turned my worst. enemy. You only want to make me angry. You don’t care about me or what’s happening to me, you just want to control me!”
“You are nothing but a bad brother and I wish that we were not related. Do you know how hard it has been for me? You even went as far as making Sean stay away from me. So tell me why have you done so if not for your selfishness!”
“I am sorry.” He uttered and I scoffed in disbelief.

Please I’m not in the mood for any of this and as it seems, I don’t want to keep having this conversation with you. Why did I even let you in my car? Stay away from me Ethan and mind your business!”

“It’s alright okay. I don’t want to hear it. I’m tired. Once we get to school, just make sure to stay away from me and do you. I will do me too after all it’s not like we speak all the time in school, I reminded him.
“I know you don’t want to hear me speak but let me let you know of this. I care for you. Emma. I know I told boys to stay off but it’s because I know them better than you do and I don’t want to ever see you get hurt.”
“Maybe I overstepped my boundaries. Maybe I shouldn’t have but I did and for Sean, I.. I think both of you should speak. I promise that it’s not what you think it is and I mean it when I say I want to make it up to you. I promise you that I will make it up to you no matter what” He said and I rolled my eyes at his words.
I find it hard to believe that he was saying it because he’d say it and go back to doing it again. I don’t even want t him anymore. I cannot wait to get to school and stay away from him because it’s hard to deal with him.
We reached school, I worked my car and got down and he got down too. Just then Sean’s car came in. I was happy a nervous at the same time because I wondered if he’d ignore me or if he’d speak to me.
“Hey,” Ethan said to Sean.
“Hey,” Sean replied, and then he looked at me and smiled.
“Hey Em, how are you?”
My heart ski pped and my stomach rumbled with joy.
