She gently licked her lips and explained softly, “After my dad became vegetative, I have to pay all the bills at home by myself. I’m still in school. My younger brother just started college. Although we no longer need to pay for my dad’s medical expenses, I have to support my brother and myself with tuition and living expenses, so…”

Nancy nodded, then shook her head, “It’s not just gambling. Gambling is only a part of my income. My brother and I both have good grades and receive scholarships every year.
