Samson wiped away Meghan’s tears gently. “Why are you crying again! I trust you and won’t doubt you. How can the kindest lady harm me! How can you kill me when you can’t even kill a chickent Besides, why would you kill me today after saving me last night? It doesn’t make sense. I won’t believe their slander against you. They have no idea how kind you are.
Meghan smiled with tears on her face. “Thank you for trusting me. As long as you believe in me, I don’t mind if others misunderstand me because I only care about you.”
A heated argument broke out in the live room. [Fuck! I can’t stand it. Meghan’s just distorting the truth. Let me tear her mouth apart!]
[Meghan is so bitchy! She wanted Samson to drown but slandered the other three who cared about him. Worst of all, Samson believed her! It’s better to care about a dog than him!]
[Samson, if you keep being so blind, you’ll die in Meghan’s hand sooner or later!]
You haven’t sobbed up after Evangeline slapped you so many times. It’s frustrating!

Meanwhile, Evangeline had grilled a fish.
Kendrick. Travis, and Jolene sat nearby, looking at her eagerly, their mouths watering. They didn’t care to ask for the fish. They understood that Evangeline was firin and decisive. If she didn’t want to share, asking for the fish would be pointless.
Evangeline had a bite of the grilled fish and placed another one on the fire
While eating the delicious and tender fish, Evangeline looked toward Kendrick and others and narrowed her eyes.
Kendrick said, “We’re just looking. We won’t steal it.”
After starving for days, they couldn’t steal it even if they wanted to
Evangeline asked calmly. “Do you have any talent?”
The three looked confused. “What?”
Evangeline said. “If you can do something entertaining, I’ll give you food.”
Travis glared at her. “Are you treating us as clowns! Even though you’re awesome, you can’t insult peoplet
Surprisingly, before he finished speaking, Jolene eagerly stood up and rushed to Evangeline. “Are you serious? I can sing. Is it okay?” Evangeline nodded. “Yes.”
Jolene asked, “What song do you

Evangeline said, “It’s up to you.”
Jolene thought for a moment and said, “Then I’ll sing my favorite song–Memories. The school used to play this song every day. Evangeline nodded.
Jolene cleared her throat and began to sing

Dinner does taste better with shows, Evangeline thought.
Jolene had a good voice and sang well. But because she hadn’t eaten for too long, her singing sounded weak.

But Evangeline didn’t stop it.
They had one thing right about her–indifference.
She was indeed indifferent to people she didn’t care about. She wouldn’t sympathize with them, even if they were about to die before her.
She had seen too many such scenes, and her compassion had long been consumed.
Not until Jolene finished singing did Evangeline say, “Wait a moment. I’ll give you this fish after it’s grilled.”
Jolene smiled happily and sat next to Evangeline. Thank you, Evangeline.”
Jolene behaved in a flattering way in front of Evangeline since the latter was too powerful,
Evangeline didn’t care.
Kendrick stood up and said, “I don’t sing well, but I’ve learned some swordplay in acting. Can I use a branch as a sword for a performancel” Evangeline nodded, “Sure.”
Kendrick quickly went to search for a suitable branch in the forest. He returned with a branch about the length of a sword and began performing swordplay.
After a while, music suddenly filled the air–Travis began playing a flure made of leaves.
The majestic music, paired with Kendrick’s precise moves, was more enjoyable to watch than many carefully planned performances.
Evangeline raised her eyebrows and thought. These two do have some talents!
Kendrick was so dedicated that he performed for almost 15 minutes.
Travis also played along for 15 minutes.

Kendrick performed the swordplay until he was sweating and panting.
Travis blew the leaf until he was almost out of breath, his face turning red.
“Bravo! That is the best performance I’ve ever seen! You two are amazing. Kendrick is strong, and Travis has great lung capacity!” Jolene clapped enthusiastically.
She thought. “They still have the strength to perform after starving for such a long time. It’s truly amazing!”
As she spoke, Kendrick and Travis both collapsed at the same time.
“Ah! What’s wrong with you?” Jolene was scared. She quickly got up to check on them,
But because she got up abruptly, she blacked out and fell to the grass.
Evangeline said, “They fainted due to hypoglycemia, just like you”
Jolene scratched her head awkwardly and thought, “Having not eaten for so long and having performed so hard, they’re indeed hypoglycemia”

[What should I do? My values seem shaken. It was wrong of them to team up against Evangeline with Meghan carlier, but now I find myself somehow drawn to them]
(I don’t think it’s their fault. They listened to Meghan out of fear of upsetting the Gallagher family. They were used as tools. It wasn’t their intention.]

At the scene, Kendrick and Travis quickly recovered from brief dizziness. They got up from the ground and sat by the fire, staring intently at the grilling fish.
They kept gulping as they smelled the aroma, thinking. It smells so good! I want to eat it now, even if it’s half–cooked. But they eventually resisted the urge

Although they were hungry, they acted respectfully and shared the food withour fighting
“It’s been four days. I finally have decent food” Jolene couldn’t help but cry while eating.
A sudden warmth amidst misery could easily make people break down.
Kendrick and Travis were also moved but didn’t cry.
Meanwhile, Samson came
came over with Meghan after getting changed.
They saw Jolene, Kendrick, and Travis sitting with Evangeline, enjoying the delicious aroma of grilled fish together.
Meghan thought Evangeline had finally given in and shared the food with everyone, including her and Samson.
Samson paused and thought the same as Meghan. His disgust and hatred for Evangeline lessened a bit.
He thought. It seems Evangeline still has a conscience and can be saved. If I guide her well, maybe she can become a normal person. Meghan let go of Samson’s hand and hurried over angrily. She glared at thern and yelled, “How can you be so selfish! You ate before Sam and I came back to eat our share. You’re horrible! The rest is Sam’s and mine. You can’t eat it. Give it to me!”
With that. Meghan was about to snatch the fish. There are two–thirds of each fish left. I can fill my stomach she thought
Fearful that she couldn’t match Travis and Kendrick’s strength, she didn’t approach them but targeted Jolene, Let Sam steal the one in their hands! she thought.
“Bitch, the rest is mine. Give me my fish!” Meghan cursed angrily and quickly reached out to grab Jolene’s wrist.
