Molly could tell that Joe wasn’t joking. It was a threat. Her helpers had texted her, saying he had come with a team, and those people carried filming equipment with
them.
Just now, Molly hadn’t realized what Joe intended to do. Hearing Joe’s demands, her legs turned to jelly. He wanted her to go through what Skylar had!
It looked like Joe knew everything. Perhaps he’d even saved Skylar.
Another possibility was that the men had raped Skylar. It explained why Joe disregarded all common sense and showed up to make a commotion. He was going to make them pay.
Molly quickly understood. Naturally, Edwin figured it out, too, but his expression was
somber.
Joe turned and walked out. As he strode off, he made a call and instructed, “Pass the evidence to the police. I’ll be holding a press conference later.”
Edwin asked loudly, “What are you trying to do? You’re out of your mind! Why would you want a woman who has been wrecked in my hands? You’d even antagonize me because of her?”
He’d given birth to a perfect son! Joe was threatening him for the sake of a woman and forcing him to make a decision!

It was as though Joe hadn’t heard Edwin’s furious interrogation. He added, “Do it
now.
Molly lost her composure. The elegance that she usually maintained flew out of the window. She screamed with a twisted expression, “No! He mustn’t do that! Darling, stop him. If not, we’re done for.”

able to remain in Jipsburg.
She’d worked hard for years to get to where she was. She wouldn’t allow herself to be destroyed by this! She’d considered the possibility that Joe might’ve known everything. However, she’d thought that Joe would merely be a little angry and his relationship with Edwin would be compromised.
Molly wasn’t expecting Joe to take such extreme measures. What a madman!

Edwin roared after Joe, “Stand there!”
As though someone had pointed a gun at him, Edwin muttered, “Let’s talk.”
Joe took a drag of his cigarette. Then, he exhaled a puff of smoke. He wasn’t affording them the privilege of negotiation. He asked, “Will you be picking the first or the second choice?”
“You’re a lunatic! We won’t be choosing either one! Is Skylar worth all this? Your
relationship with Edwin has improved. How would this have happened if you hadn’t insisted on being together with Skylar and refused a divorce?
“This had nothing to do with me. Your disrespect for your father was what brought this upon you. Why are you making me pay for it? Are you still trying to avenge your mother? She was the one who couldn’t get over it. It had nothing to do with me!”
Molly lost all semblance of logic. She questioned Joe harshly.
Edwin had asked her to be his sugar baby and helped her advance her career in the entertainment industry.
Back then, the papers had described their debauchery. They were partly true. However, it wouldn’t have been enough to make Joe’s mom commit suicide.
Wasn’t her mental capabilities too weak for a rich wife? How many wealthy men remained loyal to one woman? Other than her, Jeremy had been surrounded by a bunch of other women. Some of them showed her video evidence of his betrayal to force her into leaving him. She could pretend like nothing had happened. Why couldn’t his mom do that as well?
Thus, Molly had done nothing wrong. Years had elapsed since the incident. She’d never thought that she’d done something wrong.
Edwin added, “Your mom made the decision to commit suicide. I’ve never thought of driving her to her demise. I wanted to divorce her because she’d been too stubborn. She’d embarrassed me before a crowd. You’ve grown up now. Haven’t you considered that her death had nothing to do with me?”
