Chapter 270
The restaurant would be doomed if they failed to handle the matter properly.
The middle–aged man and the three sisters turned pale. They were finished. This was the end of their family, as they were the ones who spiked the food.
The restaurant manager understood what had happened perfectly after witnessing the scene. His career would be affected since such an incident occurred under his management.
Gritting his teeth, he ordered, “Take them to the police station!”
Joe brought Skylar back to the car. Paul, noticing the flush on their faces, quickly understood what had happened.
“Mr. Martin, should we go to the hospital?
Joe unbuttoned the top two buttons of his shirt and replied in a deep voice, “Call Dr. Grey.”
“Yes, sir.”
As the driver called Howard, Skylar was already feeling disoriented.
potent
Joe hadn’t eaten much, but the drug was more toward men, and they would quickly lose control.
Skylar whimpered in his arms, “When will we get home? This sucks.”
“Soon. Just hold on, Skylar,” Joe’s voice was low and restrained.
Skylar’s eyes reddened slightly; the familiar discomfort and memories of how
helpless she felt in the past made her bite her lip and cry silently.
She didn’t want to endure that unspeakable agony again. She was desperate to be free from the suffering.
Her mind was a mess as she was torn between reason and madness. However, she knew she could trust Joe and clung to him tightly like a lifeline.
Joe’s body was tense; his eyes were bloodshot, and he breathed heavily. He was struggling just as much as Skylar. Her movements in his arms suggested they could succumb to their desires together,
However, when he was at the end of his wits, he noticed Skylar was crying–not from physical pain, but from a deep sense of sadness–something tightened painfully in his chest. His breath hitched.
His voice was hoarse as he urged Paul, “Drive faster.”
“Yes, Mr. Martin.”
Paul hit the accelerator. He was very skilled, and the Bugatti sped down the road.
Half an hour later, they arrived at Galaxy Villa, both barely aware of their surroundings.
It wasn’t clear who initiated it, but they started kissing passionately. They might have made it upstairs if the doorbell hadn’t suddenly rung.
Upon entering and seeing Joe and Skylar entwined, Howard paused for a moment.
He had dealt with such situations before; this wasn’t Joe’s first time being drugged. Usually, it required a cold shower or an IV, but neither could fully counteract the effects. Enduring the drug’s influence was often the only option. Given the current circumstances, why bother with that?
“Mr. Martin, you two are legally married. Just go upstairs and do the deed,” Howard advised helplessly.
He learned of Joe’s marriage the last time he visited Galaxy Villa. However, he didn’t seem pleased with his new wife, as they slept in separate rooms.
It had been a while since he’d seen them, but just before entering, he’d seen them kissing. Going to bed together would solve all their problems.
Joe’s eyes were filled with desire. He turned toward Howard.
“Will it hurt her?”
“Medical intervention can’t do much. You’ll both have to endure it,” Howard stated
bluntly.
“Get out.”
Howard winced, at a loss for words. He wouldn’t have dared to stay anyway.
As soon as the door closed again, Joe carried Skylar in his arms. His dark eyes filled
with desire.
“Do you want to endure this?”
Skylar, barely holding onto a sliver of sanity, understood what he was asking.
Her eyes glistened with unshed tears. “No, I don’t,” she said, her voice weak but
persistent.
They were married. Unless something unforeseen happened, they wouldn’t divorce and might have children. Sleeping with him wasn’t a loss. She had endured the effects of the drug many times before her rebirth, always trying to suppress her
desires.
Joe’s lips captured hers again. As they lay on the bed, Skylar fell in a daze.
Joe, now shirtless, revealed a muscular and well–defined body. His deep eyes focused solely on her. His throat felt dry.
Skylar’s heart raced. In the next moment, his tall frame covered hers, and her clothes were gone without realizing it.
Joe couldn’t resist kissing her again. Their lips and tongues entwined fiercely, and Skylar gradually relaxed.
They were at it from dusk until dawn.
By the next morning, sunlight streamed through the partially open window.
Skylar felt like she had been run over by a truck when she woke up. As she sat up, the events from last night flooded her mind.
She glanced down at herself. It wasn’t a dream. She wasn’t in her room but in Joe’s,
with her body covered in marks from their passionate night.
The room was still hot with passion.
Suddenly, Joe spoke beside her, “I got you a day off. Sleep a bit more.”
Chapter 270
“A day off?” Her voice was hoarse from the previous night’s activities. Then it hit her
it was Monday. She glanced at the time.
“It’s noon?”
Joe opened his eyes slightly to look at her.
His
gaze fell on her fair, delicate skin, partially covered by a blanket but still showing the marks he’d left. His breathing quickened slightly.
“You probably don’t have the energy to work today,” he said, his voice deep.
