“I’ve been drinking, and my driver had taken a day off for personal matters. Can you drive me there?‘ Joe
asked.
Skylar had just received a car and felt embarrassed to refuse. “Sure, I’ll take you.”

“Come with me. After it’s over, we can go home together,” Joe told Skylar.
Skylar had initially planned to drop Joe off and then return home since meeting friends at this hour could mean staying out all night. However, he had mentioned returning home together afterward. She thought she might as well see it through to the end.

Joe fixed his eyes on her briefly before saying, “Just say you’re my secretary.”
“Alright.”
