Chapter 206 Lucky Escape
A car crash suddenly caused chaos on the street, making everyone nearby stop in their tracks and creating a massive traffic backup.
Everyone around quickly called for help and rushed over to the small car and the big truck that were involved.
“Ugh, cough, cough!”
Kate was coughing as she helped Eric out of the car, patting her chest, her eyes wide with fear.
Eric, relying on crutches and covered in dust, gave the big truck a frosty look.
Over at the truck, George was fighting with the driver’s door, finally getting it open. He was relieved to see Kate and Eric were okay but immediately felt guilty, saying, “I’m so sorry. Boss. Madam, this was all on me for not looking.
He couldn’t even finish his apology before his eyes went wide with alarm!
“Watch out!”

Without a second thought, George sprinted over to Eric and Kate and shoved them aside just as a car came speeding towards them!
“Boom!”
The little car slammed into their already beat–up vehicle with accuracy and spite. George shoved Kate and Eric aside in time but couldn’t dodge himself, getting hit on the side. He spun a few times before crashing down, blood pooling beneath him.
“George!”
Kate’s eyes went wide in shock.
Out of nowhere, this tiny car came barreling towards them. Thank goodness George quickly shoved them out of the way, or they would’ve gotten hit.
Kate felt her heart drop to her stomach, and her hands couldn’t stop shaking as their bodyguard rushed over to make a human shield around them, all while checking if George was alright.
“George, you good?” Kate managed to say that. Her voice was all shaky.
George coughed a bit, feeling some pain on one side. Good thing he moved quick enough; he only got a scratch.

A second slower, he would’ve ended up sandwiched between the two cars, flying over ten metres away!

Chapter 206 Lucky Escape
Two aggressive bodyguards stormed towards the small car to investigate.
Finished
In the driver’s seat of the compact vehicle, a bloodied woman lay slumped over the steering wheel, motionless.
Across from them, the front of the large truck was flattened, with its unconscious driver being extracted.
Traffic police and ambulances arrived swiftly, efficiently managing traffic and the accident scene. Kate’s hands shook as she stared at the gruesome bloodstains on the ground, the aftermath of the collision causing her body to tremble.
She couldn’t shake the memories of the photos Ruth had shown her in a previous life.
Her second brother had raced in a sports car to rescue her, only to be crushed by a dump truck along with the vehicle, the vivid red blood leaving a lasting impression.
Kate, it’s alright, Eric said, wrapping Kate in a tight hug, his deep voice trying to comfort her. Shaking a bit, Kate, with the help of the bodyguard, got into the ambulance alongside Eric.
She saw George being lifted up as well. Even though he looked pale, George still smiled at Kate and Eric, saying, “Looks like I’m pretty lucky. I’m not going to die.”
As Eric looked out the ambulance window, his expression was intense.
The firefighters had arrived and were trying to get the driver out of the smashed car. “Keep an сус on everything over there. Let me know what happens, and try to find out who they are, Eric told the bodyguard before the ambulance took off.
Kate wasn’t hurt, but the shock of the event meant she had to be checked thoroughly to be safe.
Eric was apprehensive about her!
