Yerick fealized he had said something he shouldn’t have. After all, Daphne wasn’t Xavier’s only choice. He had also chosen the woman Claude loved to be his wife.

Claude looked out the window with his dark gaze. “I’m going to stay a little while longer.

“Impossible. Why would Yvvy possibly do this? I’ve never hurt her before, so why would she want to take my life?”
She also hadn’t expected Claude’s men to be the ones who had taken Andy away. Daphne couldn’t help feeling afraid. Fortunately, she had reacted quickly.

He quickly got out of the car and ran to the entrance. When he opened the door, there was no light inside at all. He was surrounded by darkness.
Suddenly, he thought about what Yvette had told him before he left her earlier. “Think about this carefully. If you leave now, I won’t keep my word anymore.”
It felt like Xavier’s heart had stopped beating as he anxiously turned on the lights and dashed to her room. When he opened the door, it was empty inside. He didn’t see her at all.
At that moment, he froze. He couldn’t believe she was gone again.
