After Yvette said that, she picked up her bag from her desk and walked out the door while Xavier watched
her in astonishment.
He couldn’t seem to snap out of it as he looked at her retreating figure, his mind replaying her words.
Was this Yvette, his wife who was used to tolerating others?
For some reason, instead of being angry that she had confronted him, he found himself admiring Yvette a bit more. He realized he had underestimated her before.
Mark, who had seen what had happened, knocked on the door before entering. “Mr. Lane.”
Xavier coldly replied, “What is it?”
“Carnival Central Media’s stocks have been falling recently due to the situation with Ms. Reyes. Should we let them handle it themselves, or should we involve PR?” Mark asked.
Since Xavier had instructed him not to intervene in Daphne’s affairs anymore, he didn’t dare to make decisions at his own discretion.
Xavier massaged the bridge of his nose. “Look into someone for me. Her name is Cameron Wells. She’s a composer and songwriter from Asnea.”
Mark nodded, thinking that Xavier was going to clean up Daphne’s mess. “Yes, sir.”
Since he had previously obtained information about Yvette through special means and had a direction this time, Mark made a call overseas and was able to receive information in just two hours.
“Ms. Cameron is quite renowned internationally as she has composed songs for several famous singers.” Mark paused, then added, “Our men also found out she is none other than Ms. Snyder.”
“Yvette?” Xavier’s eyes narrowed.
Daphne might not have found out the information, but Mark, who had found out about it through special means, nodded.
Xavier was visibly surprised when he saw Mark confirm the information.
No wonder Yvette had been so furious earlier; it turned out that song was hers.

“Yes, sir.” As Mark was about to leave, he asked Xavier “What about Ms. Reyes, sir?”
“No PR,” Xavier replied. He could afford to lose Carnival Central Media.
Mark didn’t quite understand why Xavier had made this decision. He had been working for Xavier for many years, so he knew that Xavier never did anything that didn’t bring him any benefit.

Xavier flipped through the documents. “Daphne should bear the consequences of her actions. If she can’t

After quickly reviewing the documents, he stood up, ready to head back to Dewberry Manor.
After leaving the company, Yvette got into the car and told the driver to take her home.
Shortly after the car started, she had a feeling that she was being followed by a car, but when she turned to look, she saw no one.
Ray had recently returned to his hometown for some personal matters, and it seemed Xavier’s bodyguards were no longer following her closely.
Thinking she was just being paranoid, Yvette didn’t spare it much thought.
Unbeknownst to her, a man wearing a baseball cap had been driving a cab and following her around. He had been watching her closely for a few days now.
It was none other than Andy. Since Yvette was always surrounded by either bodyguards or a driver, he
had found it hard to approach her.
He was just waiting for the right moment.
Today was no different. He followed Yvette closely, wondering how to make a move on her. Before that, he sent a text to Daphne.
“Daph, I told you I could protect you, and I will. Don’t worry, I’ll eliminate all your threats.”
Daphne was doing her skincare routine when she saw Andy’s text and the photo of a sleek Bentley he had sent. Her eyes turned cold as she wrote a reply.
“If you succeed, I’ll go back to Longview Bay with you.”
