Chapter 96
“What did you say? Have you forgotten how much publicity we have built for Adair’s designs? Losing them means losing the publicity we have built, and there will be no flagship products this quarter!” Simon flared up.
Hearing Simon’s words, Cathy gulped and said, “But Mr. Hunt, don’t you think Adair can still make several designs? I’ll ask her to do it now. She is my friend. I can ask her to make new drafts.”
Cathy fixed her gaze on Alyssa and grinned. “I’m not here to destroy the company. I intend to get rid of Alyssa. She is our rival’s fiancée, and she must have bad intentions. Since she has captivated all of you, I have no choice but to dump her. I have seen this company grow from just three people to what it is today, and I will not let it collapse because of her presence. I have to get rid of her no matter what!” Cathy explained with gritted teeth.
Hearing her explanation, Andrew’s face darkened as he gave Cathy a sharp look.
But before he stepped in, Alyssa stopped him. “Regardless of my intentions, Mr. Coleman holds the final decision. But based on the evidence, we can conclude that Ms. Carlson is unqualified for this job. She has done a reckless thing, using irrational methods, and jeopardizing the company’s interests to scheme against her colleagues.”
Andrew gave Cathy a cold look. “Ms. Carlson, hand over your work to Ms. Dawson. From now on, she’s the new chief secretary.”
Cathy’s eyes widened in disbelief as she looked at Andrew. “Mr. Coleman, are you firing me?”

“Hand over your work!” Andrew ordered firmly.

Cathy was shaking. She gritted her teeth and pleaded desperately, “Mr. Coleman, I’ll persuade Adair to make a new draft. If you fire me, this season’s launch will be a disaster and we’ll lose to Rivorn Clothing. We have managed to keep up with them in the past two years. Do you want to let them beat us again? And if I leave, Adair won’t design for us anymore, and we’ll always stay behind Rivorn Clothing.”
“Mr. Hunt.” Andrew frowned and called Simon.
Simon was Andrew’s right–hand man. With just one cue, he approached Cathy reached out, and said, “Ms. Carlson, if you please.”
Cathy took a deep breath. She believed Andrew would never let Coleman Fashion fall behind Rivorn Clothing, and she knew he would rehire her. So, she decided to wait.
Cathy trailed behind Simon and Alyssa to the general secretary’s office. As Simon watched her pack up, Cathy handed over the folders from her desk to Alyssa with a curt. “Take them.”
“Ms. Carlson, I need a handover list,” Alyssa requested.
Cathy was about to refuse, but Simon interrupted, “Ms. Carlson, a handover list is required.” Cathy nodded and sat down at the computer. She typed the list, printed it out, and gave it to Alyssa
Alyssa looked at the handover list, which was so simple that it barely qualified as a list, but still decided not to push the issue. She knew Cathy would never provide her with a detailed explanation.
After completing her work, Cathy walked out, clutching a cardboard box filled with her personal belongings.
