Chapter 92
Several years ago, Anna shocked the fashion world by announcing that she had taken on an apprentice named Adair. Her name was unheard of in the fashion industry. But soon, she became the most sought–after name. Adair’s designs were not just good, they were groundbreaking. With creativity and flair that left other designers in the dust. Adair’s work quickly became a staple of Milan Fashion Week, and every piece she created graced the pages of top fashion magazines around the globe.
One day, Adair was invited to work as a designer at Coleman Fashion. However, she had no interest in working there full- time. Therefore, she agreed to design for the company and charge money for each design she made. In addition, the requested Coleman Fashion to keep her design anonymous. She wanted to see how the public would react if she didn’t pest her name on her designs.
At first, the company’s top executives and shareholders thought Adair’s fame was all thanks to Anna. Without Adair’s name. the design she made would be worthless. But Andrew had a different vision. He decided to charge a high price for Adair’s unsigned designs. As it turned out, her designs still became the company’s hottest sellers, with customers eagerly buying them up even without Adair’s name.
The company’s executives and shareholders finally recognized Adair’s true talent. Every season, Adair made a new collection for the company, which became the company’s treasure.
Unfortunately, someone had destroyed Adair’s designs. The weight of that disaster hit Everett like a ton of bricks. He feared the company would blame him for that.
Desperation clawed at him as he flipped the folder repeatedly, hoping Adair’s precious designs were not entirely ruined

Simon watched as Everett hopelessly flipped through the folders. Everett could not accept that Adair’s designs were destroyed. Feeling pity, Simon finally broke the silence, confirming the painful truth, “Everett, the design draft has been destroyed.”
After a pause, he added, “Mr. Sanders, wasn’t the draft stored in your department? This morning, Ms. Carlson got the drafts already in that condition. How exactly does your department handle the safekeeping of these drafts?”

Knowing Simon was taking Alyssa’s side, Cathy became even more furious. She suspected both SImon and Alyssa were trying to blame Everett. ‘What’s so special about Alyssa? Why does every man seem to favor her? She thought bitterly
Cathy spoke to defend Everett, “Mr. Sanders, we know your department would never made such a mistake. We’re not going to accuse you. We want to find out who turned the design draft like this.”
Everett broke out in a cold sweat and spoke, “Mr. Coleman, Mr. Hunt, Ms. Carlson, this draft had always been securely stored in our department. I kept it locked in a special cabinet, ensuring it was well–protected. Yesterday, the secretary’s office requested the draft, so I took it and placed it with the other documents to be delivered. It was still in perfect condition when I left it.”
“Then how did it end up like this?” Simon pressed.
Everett was anxious. “I don’t know either,” he replied as he stared at Andrew. He was aware Andrew hated this kind of shirking of responsibility. Thus, he spoke, “Someone must’ve destroyed the draft after I handed it.”
