Chapter 19
143%
Andrew threw an opportunity at Alyssa two years ago, hinting he wanted her on his team. At that time, Alyssa was thinking about saying no, but Sean nudged her not to shoot it down and instead to play along.
So, Alyssa went along with it, spicing things up by throwing in a bunch of demands and really pushing to see how far Andrew could go. Surprisingly, Andrew kept bending over backward to meet them.
One of Alyssa’s checky asks was for a welcome party with all the big names in the fashion world at Endale City, which took Andrew a week to chew on before he finally said yes.
Then came the big day. Alyssa got all dolled up, grabbed the mic and dropped a bomb on Andrew in front of everyone. “Mr. Coleman, did you do your homework on me? Sean Rivera from Rivorn Clothing, the guy right here, is my fiancé. Why would I jump ship and compete against him?” At that moment, Alyssa could almost hear Andrew’s reputation cracking.
Right after that. Alyssa and Sean made their dramatic exit. And that stunt turned Andrew into a standing joke among the
fashion circles
Now, chewing over going back to Andrew to talk business, Alysa couldn’t help but wonder if he would entertain the thought after that spectacle.

I guess I’ll never know until I try. I’ve got my 20% share in Rivorn Clothing that might just sweeten the deal for him, thought Alyssa.
The next day. Alyssa was up with the sun, quickly got herself ready, and noticed last night’s dinner mess was still all over the place. In the good old days, she would have been all over cleaning it and whipping up breakfast for Megan and Brenda. But now, she couldn’t care less.

Bag in hand. Alyssa hit up the street food stalls, grabbing some doughnuts and buns for breakfast. This was a throwback to simpler times before she and Sean started Rivorn Clothing, who was all about showing off how loaded he was, never touching anything that didn’t scream I’m expensive” – like his fancy coffee and sandwiches,
But today, munching on her street finds, she felt a comfort she hadn’t in ages.
After her quick bite, she hopped on the subway in her comfy shoes, heading to Coleman Fashion.
Maybe it was Alyssa’s lucky day because right at the Coleman Fashion front desk, in walked Andrew himself, just in his plain white shirt, resting a black suit jacket on one elbow. His hair was not all done up like Sean’s but in a charming disarray.
Andrew was pulling off that casual yet impossibly relaxed vibe without even trying. Standing there, Alyssa had this moment, thinking how she could have ever overlooked such a cute guy and got hung up on Sean.
Just as Andrew was about to head to the elevators, talking to his assistant, Alyssa couldn’t help but call out, “Mr. Coleman.” Andrew paused, turned around, and looked at her, eyes narrowing just a bit.
Alyssa was headed toward Andrew when the girl at the front desk hurried over. “Mr. Coleman, I’m sorry. This young lady said she was looking for you, and I told her she couldn’t see you without an appointment, but she just wouldn’t leave,” she explained
“Go back to what you were doing.” Andrew said to the girl.
The girl prompty rushed away.
