Chapter 113
As Andrew spoke, Cathy gradually clenched her fists. Her nails were almost digging into her flesh. She kept assuring herself that she could still salvage the situation. Since she was given the opportunity to retu
to the company now, she would definitely make Andrew fall in love with her.
She clenched her fists tightly before relaxing them. Then, she put on a smile and said, “Thank you, Mr. Coleman.”
Andrew did not look at her after he finished speaking. Instead, he said to Simon, “Ask the doctor to do his best to save Mr. Carlson. Make sure any outstanding medical fees and the sanatorium’s fees up until today are paid.”
With that, he turned around and left.
Cathy watched as his silhouette disappeared from sight and bit her lower lip. Her eyes turned red again.
Simon had yet to leave. He looked at Cathy and said, “Mr. Coleman has been very good to you. He has never given anyone such a chance. You are the first. You should be grateful, Ms. Carlson.”
Cathy glared at Simon and sneered. “Mr. Hunt, are you trying to kick me while I am down?”
Simon shook his head. He defended, “I am not doing so. I’m just stating a fact, and-”
Cathy looked at him and waited for him to finish his sentence. Simon grinned and continued, “And I’ll never kick anything unclean.”
“Simon Hunt,” uttered Cathy through gritted teeth.
Simon said, “Cathy, Mr. Coleman treated you well. You destroyed the company’s design and used your father’s life to threaten him. What were you thinking? People like you are really terrifying.”
“How did I threaten him? Was he affected? Am I the person who is terrifying? Am I the ungrateful one? It’s Mr. Coleman who’s terrifying. My father saved him, but Mr. Coleman shows him no gratitude. He even made such a claim,” Cathy retorted as she wiped away her tears.
Simon frowned and explained, “Did you know that Mr. Coleman could have saved himself in that car accident? He could have also saved your father. Your father was the one who insisted on pouncing on Mr. Coleman, preventing him from saving himself and your father. Your father knew that Mr. Coleman could have gone unharmed in the car accident, so he deliberately held Mr. Coleman down. He used his life to give you an opportunity to work for Mr. Coleman. Therefore, Cathy, your father was not Mr. Coleman’s benefactor. Instead, he was morally blackmailing Mr. Coleman. You were even worse. Not only did you want to morally blackmail Mr. Coleman just like your father did, but you also had no scruples with harming your own father.”
Simon gave Cathy a long stare and mocked, “Can you face your father?”
Cathy felt her breathing stop. Her entire body was about to go limp. She reached out to support herself against the wall.
Simon added, “Take good care of your father.”
After saying that, he turned around and went to carry out Andrew’s instructions.
Andrew promised to allow Cathy to return to the company, but he did not let her return to the secretarial department. Instead, she was sent to the marketing department. Cathy only had experience working as a secretary and knew nothing about the operations of the marketing department. Andrew asked Simon to inform her that if she did not do well in the marketing department, she would be fired and would never have the chance to return again.
Therefore, for a period of time, Cathy did not cause any more trouble. She tried her best to adapt to the work of the

marketing department and worked very hard. She was currently an ordinary employee of the marketing department, but she refused to remain ordinary. She tried her best to think of a way to climb up the ranks.
The current marketing director was about to retire, and Cathy began plotting to become their successor.
Meanwhile, in the secretarial department, Alyssa became the general secretary. After a few days of research, she had a complete understanding of the documents that Cathy had given her. Slowly, she began to adapt to the job of a secretary. She was overwhelmed and helpless at the beginning, but now, she could arrange Andrew’s schedule very well.
