Chapter 103
Adair: What? The design I did for Coleman Fashion was already based on roses. Why do you need another one?]
Alyssa: [It’s a long story: I’ll explain later. For now, just focus on getting it done as soon as possible. If you can recreate the original design, that would be ideal.]
Adair: [Got it, Ms. Dawson. I’ll get right on it. I spent a lot of time on that first design and carefully planned every detail. I still remember everything clearly, so I can recreate it quickly.
Alyssa: [Perfect. I’ll have someone pick it up tomorrow.]
Adair: [No need to wait until tomorrow. Give me three hours–can finish it by then. I’ll bring it to you myself. Just tell me where you are, and I’ll deliver it.]
Alyssa: [Alright, bring it to Coleman Fashion.]
Adair: [OK]
After sending the messages, Alyssa looked around the conference room. The argument was still going strong, with most people labeling her as just a “pretty face” and pushing to bring Cathy back.

Andrew was standing his ground, fending off all the criticism by himself.
At that moment, Alyssa leaned toward Andrew and said, “Mr. Coleman, may I say something?”
Andrew gave her a quick glance, worried that she’d end up in the line of fire. “There’s no need for you to speak. Just sit quietly.”
Alyssa cleared her throat and insisted, “I really think I should speak up.”
Andrew frowned slightly, but before he could respond, Alyssa said, “Adair has agreed to create a new design for us.”
Her words instantly silenced the room, and all eyes turned to her in surprise.
Andrew’s gaze deepened as he looked at Alyssa, saying nothing.

Kenneth, however, sneered. “Ms. Dawson, are you kidding? Do you even know who Adair is? Do you realize how big of a name he is in the design world? You can’t just bring someone like him in at the snap of a finger.”
Alyssa smiled calmly. “Exactly. Not everyone can get him. That’s why you couldn’t.”
“You…” Kenneth’s face twisted in anger. “You’re completely out of your depth, yet you think you can compete with Ms. Carlson? Do you even have what it takes to hold this position? Just look at the mess you’ve caused for the company.”
Still smiling, Alyssa replied, “Mr. Holloway, common sense is a valuable thing–why do you seem to leave yours behind whenever you step out the door? Mr. Hunt already clarified that the company paid for Adair’s design, so it belongs to the company. Ms. Carlson destroyed company property, got herself fired, and now the company is in a tough spot. All of that is her doing, not mine. How exactly did I ‘mess up‘ the company?”
“If you hadn’t tried to take Ms. Carlson’s position…” Kenneth began, but Alyssa cut him off, “And now I’m the one who’s managed to get Adair to create a new design for the company. I’m the one resolving this crisis. In fact, I’m cleaning up the mess Ms. Carlson left behind.”
Kenneth scoffed. “Ms. Dawson, do you really know Adair? Don’t just bring in some random person’s sketch and try to pass it off as his.”
“You’ll find out soon enough, Mr. Holloway,” Alyssa said, still smiling.
Chapter 103
*Tim no design expert, but if you really knew Adair, why didn’t you say something earlier? Now, at the last minute, you’re claiming you’ve got it covered? Sounds to me like you’re just trying to shift the blame by grabbing any design you can get your hands on and hoping it’ll pass.”
