Chapter 14
Four years later
Adeline West
Four years had passed since I left the Silver Moon Pack, and my Le had taken a remarkable turn. Today, I sat in my office, a sprawling corner suite on the 44th floor of the MoonLuxe Tower, a testament to my hard work and determination. MoonLuse, the company I built from scratch, had become one of the top enterprises in the world, specializing in fashion, beauty, and perfumes. It was a success story born of sheer willpower and hard work..
I was in a meeting with my team, discussing new strategies and upcoming product launches. The room was filled with vibrant energy, with everyone contributing ideas and solutions. As the meeting concluded, I felt a sense of pride wash over me. These were my people, and together, we had created something extraordinary.
“Great job, everyone,” I said, smiling at my leam. “Let’s keep this momentum going.” I added, while standing up from the
chair.
As they filed out of the room, I made my way back to my office. I couldn’t help but marvel at how far I had come. To this day, I still remember how much I suffered in the Silver Moon pack and my father’s pack. All the abuse and trauma made me what I am today. A strong, confident and independent woman. A mother. A billionaire.
My office was a perfect blend of elegance and functionality, reflecting my personal style.
I always had a particular fondness for creating my own perfumes, a skill I had learned from my grandmother. Since childhood, I have always used my own unique scents, and now they are a part of MoonLuxe’s signature line. In fact, it
my
first idea to create my own perfume line company, and from that, I created the MoonLuxe empire.
My assistant, Sophia, walked in, carrying my coffee. She had been with me since the beginning, a sweet and brilliant woman who excelled at managing things.
“Here’s your coffee, Adeline, she said, placing the cup on my desk. “And just a reminder, it’s already 6:30. You should head home,” she added.
Thanks, Sophia.” I smiled at her. “You’re a lifesaver.” I added, hugging her.
“That’s what I’m here for.” She grinned. “Have a good evening” She said, hugging back.
“you too, bye.”
Gathering my things, I walked to the elevator and headed to the parking lot, where my driver was already waiting. The ride home was a quiet time for me to reflect on the day and plan for tomorrow.
As soon as I stepped into my home, I was greeted by the sound of giggles and the smell of freshly baked cookies. Bridget and Tristan were in the kitchen, covered in flour, with Maria overseeing their kitchen adventure.
“Mommy” they both squealed, rushing towards me with sticky hands and bright smiles.
I kneeled down to hug them, not caring about the mess. “My little bakers! What are you making today?” I asked.
“Cookies! Grandma Mary is teaching us her secret recipe, Tristan announced proudly,
Maria, or Grandma Mary, as the kids fondly cookies, dear.” She said, smiling at us.
led her, smiled warmly. They insisted on surprising you with your favorite
“Thank you, my loves,” I said, kissing each of them on the forehead. “And thank you, Maria.” I said, turning to Maria. “You always know how to make our days special.” I said, my tone filled with gratitude.

Chapter 11
Maria had been my rock dujing my pregnancy. The complications were severe, and there were moments when I feared for my babies‘ lives. The doctors had warned that one of the twins right not survive. They said, because of the rejection, my body was so weak that I may lose one of my babies or I myself may lose my life. It had shattered me and my wolf. But Maria, with her unwavering support and love, had given me the strength to fight for all of us. She had become more than just a friend; she was family.
As we all gathered around the kitchen table, the aroma of the freshly baked cookies filled the air. The kids chattered excitedly about their day at school, their stories bringing warm and joy to the room.
“Mommy, guess what? Bridget said, her gray eyes wide with excement. “I drew a picture of our family in art class today!” She said, pushing her dark hair behind her tiny shoulders. Looking at her, I always feel so warm inside. My baby was so weak when she was born, and I constantly feared for her life, but now looking at her, I feel so proud. My baby is a strong girl.
“Did you now? I can’t wait to see it.” I replied, smiling at her enthusiasm.
“And I made a tower with my blocks that was taller than mer Tristan added, not wanting to be outdone by his sister. His green eyes were shining with excitement. He has my eyes but has black hair. He’s a bit taller for his age and healthy. Both my kids have dark hair and good looks.
My beautiful children.
“Woy, that’s impressive, buddy! You both had such an amazing day I said, feeling a surge of pride.
Maria watched us with a warm smile. “You have such wonderful children, Adeline. They are a reflection of your strength and love.” She said, looking at us.
I reached out to hold Maria’s hand. “I couldn’t have done it without you, Maria. You’re their grandmother in every way that matters. I said, my voice filled with genuine gratitude and affection.
The evening passed in a blur of happiness. We played games, read stories, and laughed until our sides ached. The love in our home was palpable, and it filled me with a deep sense of gratitude.
Later that night, as I tucked Bridget and Tristan into bed, they both hugged me tightly.
“Goodnight, Mommy, they whispered in unison.
“Goodnight, my darlings. Sweet dreams,” I replied, kissing them gently.
After they were asleep, I found Maria sitting in the living room, knitting a scarf. I sat down beside her, and for a moment, we
satin comfortable silence.
“You know, Maria, I was so scared back then,” I said softly. “But you were always there, believing in me, pushing me to keep going

She patted my back gently. “You and those kids have brought so much joy into my life. We’re family, and family always stands together.” She said,
As I went to bed that night, I felt a profound sense of peace. The past was behind me, and the future was bright. I had my children, my career, and a loving family that included Maria. We had created a life filled with love, support, and happiness.
