Chapter 386
“It’s coming soon” Cynthia sat up in surprise. The quilt on her body slipped to her waist.
Liam smiled and pulled her into his arms. He gently tapped her nose and asked, “Why are you so panicked?”

Cynthia pouted and grumbled. “Why didn’t you tell me earlier! It’s my first time celebrating Grandma Jasmine’s birthday. I plan to properly select a gift for her
Liam raised his eyebrows. So that’s what she was thinking, he pondered. “Grandma isn’t short of anything. Just pick something. As long as it’s from you. she’ll like it.” Liam unered.
“No. I must give her something special” Cynthia withdrew from his arms and grabbed her phone for inspiration
Liam stayed silent when he saw Cynthia was glued to her phone and had no time to talk to him. Silently, he got up and went to the study to handle business matters. Many documents accumulated because they returned later than expected from their originally scheduled short vacation of only a few days.
Liam stayed in the study until the morning. Seeing that it was almost time, he returned to the room to ask Cynthia to go downstairs for breakfast with him. When he opened the door, he saw that she had fallen asleep with her phone in her hand
His gaze was overflowing with love when he saw her childish sleeping posture. Instead of waking her up, he took out her phone and tucked her in before going out quietly.

When Cynthia woke up, it was already noon. In a daze, she went downstairs. Winnie had just finished making lunch.
Seeing Cynthia, Winnie hurriedly said. “Mrs. Sullivan, you’re awake. Come and have lunch”
After a long sleep. Cynthia was indeed hungry. She sat at the dining table and was about to start eating. Looking at all kinds of dishes on the cable, she hesitated. “Winnie, is Liam coming back? Why did you cook so many dishes!”
Regalian Garden had always advocated for reducing food waste, so the amount of food prepared was always proportionate to the number of people. That was why Cynthia asked those questions when she saw the dishes.
While serving Cynthia food, Winnie answered, “This morning. Mr. and Mrs, Sullivan heard you were back. They wanted to see you, so they planned to come over for lunch.”
“What Grandpa David and Grandma Jasmine are coming?” Cynthia hurriedly put down her fork. She couldn’t ear first since the elders were coming
Winnie grew fonder of Cynthia as she observed her polite behavior. She told Cynthia what Jasmine had just said. “Mrs. Sullivan said that they would take a while to arrive. Since you haven’t eaten anything today, you don’t have to wait for them. You should eat first. Don’t go hungry.”
“No” Cynthia insisted. Instead of saying in the dining room, she went to the living room and casually picked a book to read.
About ten minutes later, the sound of an engine came from the yard. Thinking that it should be David and Jasmine, Cynthia put down the book and ran out, only to see Liam’s car at the entrance.
At that moment, Liam was getting off the car
Cynthia was a little surprised. She threw herself into his arms, tiptoed, and kissed him on the cheek before asking, “Aren’t you busy with work? Why did you come back for lunch?
Liam hugged her and patted her butt. “I came back to check if you’d gotten up for lunch”
Cynthia raised her chin. “Hmph! I got up a long time ago.” Then, she looked around again. “Just now, Winnie said that Grandpa David and Grandma Jasmine are coming for lunch. I think they’ll arrive soon,”
Looking at Cynthia, who was unaware of anything, Liam shook his head and said resignedly to the two elders hiding in the car, “Come down.”
The next moment, the car’s back seat door opened Jasmine and David helped each other out of the car.
“Brat, why did you expose us so quickly?” Jasmine pretended to be annoyed and patted Liam’s shoulder. Then, she quickly hugged Cynthia. “Cynthia. I miss you so much”
David also came over with a smile.
After a while, Cynthia withdrew from Jasmine’s arms and greeted them respectfully “Grandpa David, Grandma Jasmine, I miss you too. But why were you hiding in the car?”
Chapter 386
Hearing that, Jasmine and David exchanged glances. When they saw Cynthia come out of the house, they wanted to get out of the car. However, as soon as Cynthia approached, she kissed Liam without looking around.
That aroused jasmine’s desire for gossip, so she wanted to see if there was anything more exciting. Knowing that h
her granddaughter–in–law was shy. she didn’t tell the truth and made up an excuse. It gets harder to walk around as I get older
Cynthia believed Jasmine’s words and hurriedly helped them walk into the house
Liam, who was being ignored, shook his head ulently.
The four of them sat down at the dining table, Jasmine kept putting food on Cynthia’s plate. “Look at you. You’ve only been away for a few days, and you’ve lost so much weight. You need to eat more food”
Cynthia stared at the food piled up on her plate and wondered if all the elders were like that. Once they hadn’t seen each other in a while, they would think that she had lost weight.
She had actually put on more weight lately. More specifically, it appeared that she had put on weight since she married Liam. She would eventually gain even more weight if that kept up.
Cynthia knew that Jasmine was concerned about her, so she hit the bullet and finished all the food on her plate. Seeing that, Jasmine was satisfied.
After lunch, Liam hurried back to the company. All morning, he was
grandparents hadn’t asked him to send them to Regalian Caoccupied with the amount of work that had piled up while he was away. If his
at noon, he would probably have lunch in the company.
In the afternoon, Cynthia checked David’s leg first before checking Jasmine’s pulse. She was relieved to find that both of them were in good health
Then, it occurred to her that it would be Jasmine’s birthday soon. She gave the gift a lot of thought but was unable to make up her mind. She decided to use this as an opportunity to sound out Jasmine “Grandma Jasmine, let’s go shopping,” she suggested. That way, she could see what Jasmine liked when shopping.
“Okay” Jasmine was never one to sit around the house. She instantly agreed because she used to enjoy going around when she was younger. She then looked at David and sand. “It’s hard for you to walk around. You should stay at home. Without giving David a chance to refuse, she pulled Cynthia and ran out of the door.
After getting into the car, Cynthia asked, “Grandma Jasmine, why don’t you take Grandpa David with us?”
Today is our shopping day. There’s no need for a man to tag along, Jasmine responded.
