Chapter 261
The attic door was unlocked, and Cynthia pushed it open. The room had not been cleaned in a long time, and there was a strong smell of dust. She entered and carefully searched through the pile of clutter. Most of the items belonged to Felicia and Roseanne. Cynthia recalled that Jacinta’s possessions had been mostly cleared out after those two moved in. She was only checking in case anything remained. Felicia and Roseanne had left. numerous marks throughout the house after living there for so many years. Cynthia had considered renovating the mansion. She wanted to ensure that she had not overlooked anything important before beginning the renovation
Following a lengthy search through the attic, her clothes were dusted. Finally, she found a familiar box in the corner. Excited, she hurriedly opened the lid to reveal an amber necklace. Cynthia was stunned for a brief monent, and old memories came flooding back. Jacinta gave her the necklace a few days before her death and instructed Cynthia to keep it safe. However, shortly after Jacinta died and Cynthia was about to be sent to the countryside. Felicia and Roseanne discovered the necklace and forcibly took it away from her. Cynthia’s eyes turned red as she remembered that The necklace was her only memento from her mother. Cynthia assumed Felicia and Roseanne had sold it, and she would never see it again. To her surprise, it was still there. Felicia and Roseanne probably dismissed the necklace as worthless because it appeared to be old and small. Cynthia carefully picked up the necklace, wiping away the dust. Without the dust, the amber necklace had a radiant hue that only experienced connoisseurs would recognize as valuable. Because of Felicia and her daughter’s ignorance, Cynthia had reclaimed the necklace. She put the necklace in her pocket, planning to carry it with her at all times.
Just then, the cleaning crew arrived. Cynthia went downstairs and instructed the cleaners to clear out the attic after she had finished searching it.
She did not stay to watch them work and was about to leave.

Suddenly, one of the cleaners appeared with a camera in hand and asked, “Ms. Larson, do you still want
at this c private information, so the cleaners could not do anything with it without the client’s permission
Cynthia took the camera, puzzled. “Where did you find this?” She had searched the attic thoroughly and hadn’t come across that camera. It also appeared old and dusty.

The cleaner, worried that Cynthia might hold her responsible, carefully explained, “It was hidden behind the curtains. We accidentally knocked it over while moving things”
“I see. You can go back to work,” Cynthia replied.
After the cleaner left. Cynthia examined the camera. Even though the cleaner had removed some of the dust on the camera, a thick layer remained in the hidden comers. The amount of dust indicated that it had not been cleaned in years, not just a short time. She wondered who would keep records in an attic used for storage. Cynthia’s face darkened as she had a sudden thought. She quickly disassembled the camera and retrieved the memory card inside. After throwing the dismantled camera into the trash, she drove straight back to Regalian Garden

Winnie was about to go grocery shopping when she saw Cynthia returning. She was about to ask Cynthia why she had returned when Cynthia rushed past her like a gust of wind and disappeared. As Winnie walked out, she wondered why Cynthia was in a hurry.

Cynthia went directly to the study and turned on Liam’s computer for work. She inserted the memory card and accessed the contents. The timestamps indicated that the card had been completely filled over ten years ago, and no new content had been recorded since. Cynthia’s heart raced as she stared at the timestamps, wondering if the contents of the card were as she suspected. She recalled Jacinta falling from the attic, and the camera had been hidden there. It all seemed too coincidental. She navigated the computer with trembling fingers, rewinding to the day her mother passed away. Not knowing the exact time, she started early and closely watched the footage. The entire attic was visible, albeit with poor image quality due to the camera’s age. Nevertheless, it was clear enough to see what was going on. At first, there was no action. An hour later, faint, indecent sounds could be heard. Cynthia’s fingers clenched as she watched the screen intently. A man and a woman appeared. They embraced each other and lay down on the attic couch. They were in such a hurry that they didn’t even fully undress before engaging in sexual activity.
“Babe, I wish you would be mine forever, Mason said.
“Aren’t you afraid that Jacinta will find out that you
brought me here!” Felicia replied.
“What’s there to be afraid of? I’ve long wanted to divorce her. Even a monkey is more attractive than her. As soon as I take over the company, III divorce her,” he said.
“Haba” Felicia laughed
Cynthia feli nauseous after listening to their conversation. Infuriated, her chest heaved. She wished she could drag the despicable couple out into the street and humilute them in public. Suddenly, a loud bang was heard in the video. Cynthia fixed her gaze on the screen, noticing Mason and Felicia had stopped moving and looked toward the door. A woman appeared in the footage, and Cynthia’s breath hitched as tears immediately welled up in hereyn. ‘Mum,” Cynthu whipered, reaching out to touch the screen, but her fingers only met the monitor’s cold surface. The scene screen quickly devolved into a heated argument. Cynthia’s vision was blurry, so she quickly wiped away her tears to watch the events unfold.
“Why? Why are you doing this to me?” Jacinta screamed hoarsely, throwing whatever she found at the two.
Mason hastily moved away from Felicia, attempting to explain. “Jacinta, please hear me out”
Jacinta slapped him hard she clenched her teeth and blurted out, “Mason, we are getting divorced. You and this filthy woman, get out of my house unmediately! :
Seeing her so resolute, Mason stopped pretending. This house belonged to is, not just you
you. Fin not leaving”

Felicia, unconcerned about her disheveled appearance, jumped up and urged Mason, “We can’t let her leave. If she exposes us, all our efforts will be
in vain
