“Fake goods? Illegal?” Ruth was dumbfounded. She quickly said, “Sir, are you mistaken? Where is the fake? Isn’t this gold vase the one you saw just now?”

When they checked the surveillance camera, they saw that Ruth had indeed gone out with a package. “Look, the evidence is conclusive. You must have gone out to switch at this time,” they accused.
Ruth wanted to cry but had no tears. “I only went to the bathroom.”
