Chapter 94
“What are you doing here, Winston?” Millie looked at the man in front of her suspiciously.

Expressionlessly, Winston replied, “Am I unwelcome?
He could tell by Millie’s change of expression that not only was he unwelcome, but he was also putting her in a bad mood. Was she disappointed that he had been the one standing outside and not Simon?
Julia suddenly called out, “Millie, what’s wrong?”
“Nothing! Simon’s here. Bye!” As she spoke, she began to pull Winston out with her.
He frowned and looked at Millie, who looked completely unruffled after lying to her family. “So I’m Simon now?” he asked her.
“If you’re not afraid of getting chased out with a broom by my dad, feel free to announce who you actually are!” Millie glared at Winston, feeling disgusted.
Winston fell silent.
That really sounded like something Terrence might do.
Millie only let him go when they left the front gates. “What are you doing here again?”
“It’s been three days, hasn’t it? I’m bringing you to the hospital to get your bandages changed.” Although he had a frown on his face, his tone was entirely non–committal.
He didn’t allow Simon to take Millie to get her bandages changed.
Everyone at the hospital knew Millie was his wife. If Simon went instead of him, it wouldn’t be good for their reputation.
Millie was confused. What was Winston up to now?
She scoffed. As if she needed him to bring her. It wasn’t like she didn’t know the way.
Millie seemed to stare daggers into Winston. If looks could kill, Winston would have been dead.
“What are you looking at me like that for? You got hurt because of Joanna. Am I wrong to take some responsibility for that?” As he spoke, he dragged Millie by her wrist to his car.
She shook his hand away in annoyance.
“I don’t need your help. I pushed her away out of instinct. It’s nothing! Go away, Winston.” It was Millie’s turn to shove Winston into his car.
For a petite girl, she was pretty strong.
He gripped her arm and pressed her against the car. Are you afraid that Simon will see us?”
He knew that Simon was supposed to bring Millie to the hospital.
Millie pressed her lips into a line and glared up at him. “I already agreed to go with Simon. What are
you suddenly doing here?”
“Millie, you’re my wife. I should be the one to take you back to the hospital for check–ups. Why would you even think of asking him to go instead?” Winston asked with a deep frown. His gaze was cold,
and his tone was stern.
“Winston, get your facts straight. We already signed the divorce papers. I’m your ex–wife now, okay? Ex -wife!” Millie sighed. How many times did she have to remind him?
Millie was getting sick of it.
“As long as we haven’t gotten the stamp of approval, we’re still married,” he said as he opened the car door and began to shove Millie inside.
She struggled against him, causing her injury to get jostled in the process. Instinctively, she yelped,” Ouch!”
At that, Winston finally looked at Millie. Her brow was knitted into a frown, and her eyelashes were quivering slightly.
He finally stopped what he was doing and let her go.
She glared at him in annoyance, lightly caressing the wound on her wrist. She looked down and tried to calm her erratic breathing. She gulped and asked in confusion, “Winston, what exactly are you trying to do?”
He said he hated her, so she kept her distance.
He wanted Joanna and a divorce, so she agreed to the divorce.
Every single time, however, he came back to her.
What did she have to do to make him happy?
Was he torturing her because she had been so determined to marry him that she had ruined all three of their futures?
A loud car horn suddenly rang from far away.
