Chapter 214
Kane held a dagger, wearing a tattered shirt, and there was a hole in his black shoe. His beard was unkempt, and his skin was tanned,

“This is a hospital, not a place for you to cause a scene, Millie warned coldly.
“I don’t care where this is. Get my wife discharged from the hospital right now!” Kane glared furiously at
her.
“Drop the dagger,” Millie commanded. The hospital was crowded with medical staff and patients constantly moving around. Any injury could lead to a disastrous outcome.
“Discharge my wife now!” he shouted.
“Okay,” Millie agreed without hesitation.
Everyone looked at her, wondering why she had actually agreed to have Cara discharged from the hospital.
“Hazel,” Millie called out.
Hazel approached immediately. “I’m here.”
Millie instructed, “Go ahead and discharge Mrs. Cara Turner from the hospital.”
Hazel looked puzzled, unsure if she should truly proceed with the discharge procedure.
“Do it,” Millie ordered seriously.
Hazel nodded. “Alright.”
“I’ve done what you requested. Can you drop the dagger now?” Millie asked.
Kane narrowed his eyes at Millie. “It’s hard to understand what you doctors are thinking. How can I be sure that you’re actually discharging her and not just pretending?”
He gestured toward her and said, “Come here and follow me!”
Millie scoffed at his skepticism. He was truly hopeless. It was a shame Cara had married him.
She was about to follow him when Lainey stopped her. “Dr. Caldwell!”
Millie shook her head dismissively. “Don’t worry, Dr. Quinn. Please tell everyone to leave and stop standing here watching.”
It would be terrible if someone got injured. She followed Kane, who quickly pushed her toward Cara’s ward.
Meanwhile, Lainey quickly instructed everyone to leave and stop watching.
Cara had already packed her things when she saw Millile being held hostage. Her eyes turned red, and she shouted, “Kane Olsen! Are you out of your mind? What do you think you’re doing?”
“Bitch! Pack your belongings and come home with me, he cursed.
“I’ll go with you. But you have to release Dr. Caldwell!” Cara yelled.

He snorted. “She’s too nosy. She deserves to die.”

“Why are you so cruel? She’s just trying to help me with my illness. She’s just being kind,” Cara retorted loudly.
Kane was slightly stunned. “Cara, how dare you scold me?”
As he spoke, he approached Cara with the dagger. At that moment, Millie decided to act. She swiftly grabbed his arm and hit his wrist hard, causing the dagger to drop.
Kane anxiously bent down to pick up the dagger. Before he could grasp it, Millie kicked it out of the ward.
Then, she snatched his collar and grabbed his arm. Without saying a word, she effortlessly threw him over her shoulder, slamming him to the floor.
Millie reprimanded furiously, “You’re more ridiculous than any male chauvinist I’ve ever seen. Are you truly a human?*
Millie punched Kane in the face. “Cara deserves a better life. Marrying you was a mistake. Kane’s eyes widened in disbelief. He glared at Millie in rage. “How dare you attack me?”
“I’m not just hitting you. I want to teach you a lesson.” Millie punched his face again.
Kane’s head was struck, and a tooth got loose. He screamed in pain. Overwhelmed by anger, he pushed Millie aside, causing her to fall. Then, he went to the door and picked up the dagger.
Care shouted, “Dr. Caldwell!”
When Millie turned, she saw Kane was about to stab her.
