Chapter 91
Bonnie looked around, blinking, with a suppressed smile, she got into Joseph’s car.
Feeling the presence of the imposing man just standing there, Joseph scratched his nose, turned to Lenore and said, “Uh… Lenore. I’m going to take Bonnie with me first.” With that, he quickly got into his car, hit the gas, and dashed away.
Lenore glanced at Silas, holding a thermos mug, and got into his Hummer. Seeing her with a thermos in hand, Silas felt a sense of relief. He smiled. got into the car, and asked, “Shall we get some breakfast first?”
Lenore lazily raised her eyebrows. “Alright.” She took out her phone and started a game.
Silas took his laptop out of the locker, put it on his lap, and opened it. A message from Claude appeared: [Boss, I couldn’t trace the origin of the
gem
This ruby didn’t seem particularly special at first, but for two major gangs to be involved in a trade over it, it had to be significant. Silas enlarged the image and squinted, deep in thought. Suddenly, his phone rang. It was Wayne calling. Silas answered, “Did you find anything?”
Wayne’s somewhat tired voice came through. Those two gangs are the largest smuggling groups in Felinsland, but there’s no information on this diamond
Even if it was a rare red diamond, it shouldn’t justify such a trade. There was something suspicious about this. Silas frowned, his voice deep and cold. “Keep investigating”
He made the call without avoiding Lenore, who wasn’t wearing headphones and could hear Wayne’s voice from the other side.
While the two talked, Lenore single–handedly wiped out the opposing team in her game. As she was clearing the level, she looked up and happened to see the picture on Silas’s Laptop
The ruby was smooth on the surface without any signs of curing or polishing, crystal clear with a dreamy sparkle inside. Her eyes narrowed slightly as she softly said, “Tra Red Diamond”
Silas was slightly taken aback and turned his head, asking “What?”
Lenore glanced up from her computer, calm as ever. The seventh king of Kelmara, Ira, discovered a rare, naturally–formed red diamond about a hundred years ago. Due to its exceptional quality and large size, it was known as the second–largest diamond in the world.
It had been passed down through generations, set into the royal scepter of Kelmara, and it was handed to the eleventh prince about five years ago. Three years ago, it mysteriously disappeared”
The car descended into a stunned silence after she launched into this long narrative. Since they’d met, it was the first time she had spoken so much all at once. Silas looked at her, with an uncommon flicker of surprise in his usually composed eyes.
Chuck glanced at her through the rearview mirror, his expression puzzled, wondering if Lenore was just making all this up:
“Whoa…” The shock was evident as the cigarette fell from Wayne’s fingers. “Are you serious.

my girl
Lenore raised an eyebrow, a mischievous glint in her eye, and spoke slowly. “Since it was lost without a trace and would be embarrassing if word got out, the cleventh prince hired hackers to wipe all records of the diamond.
“It vanished from the public eye, with only a whisper of its existence on the dark web”
A silence followed again. Wayne said, “You know about the dark web too, huh, pretty girl
Lenore looked down and continued playing on her phone, saying absentmindedly, “I know a
a little”
Silas stared at her for a few seconds before instructing Claude to look into it. Two minutes later. Claude got back to him. “Boss! I found it on the dark web!”
After searching the entire dark web, they found only a thread about Ira, the seventh king of Kelmara, discovering a red diamond years ago, and an image of the royal scepter of Kelmara. Just a few scant details.
This alone proved that everything Lenore just said was true. Silas glanced sideways at her, his eyes deep and mysterious,
“Whoa!” Wayne, who was still on the phone and saw the info, was completely shocked “Little beauty, this stuff isn’t even online. How do you know it
Lenore was the one who initially destroyed the documents but she definitely wouldn’t say that. Exiting the game, she mumbled, “Heard it from a 1/2
