Chapter 76
At the Yarwood residence. Stephen attended the Heartland Chamber of Commerce’s press conference in the afternoon. He was initially shocked when he heard about the dismissal of the three board members, but his surprise quickly turned into joy.
Because of this, a few board positions would open up. He thought, ‘When the Heartland Chamber of Commerce recruits new members, I must get in!‘
In the living room, Rachel and a few others were having coffee. Ella smiled warmly, “The teacher really likes Esther.”
Rachel nodded with satisfaction and said to Esther, “The day after tomorrow is the art performance. Make sure you practice your new dance well and put on a great show.”
Today, when Esther met Victoria, it was her first time meeting a true international master. She was deeply moved and longed for the dancing world
even more.
At that moment, Esther said earnestly, “Rachel, don’t worry. I will give it my all.”
Esther was always well–behaved and charming. Once Stephen joins the Heartland Chamber of Commerce, he can also bring Troy in. The potential for their growth is great.
Rachel took a sip of coffee and said, “Your brother will be back tomorrow. After Esther finishes her apprenticeship, he’ll take you all out to have
some fun.”
She has both a son and a daughter. Her daughter, Ella, is a student of a famous dance artist, and her son, Ryan, is doing scientific research. They both make her very proud.
In the Heartland Chamber of Commerce. During the press conference, William and two others were immediately taken away by the police.
Jason declined all interviews with reporters and entertained guests in his private office. He was quite polite and said, “Mr. Faulkner, you’re back again. Is there something on your mind?”
Silas left and then came back. He wasn’t wearing a mask or any disguise. His black shirt sleeves were casually rolled up, showing his strong arms.
Sitting on the couch like a classic painting, his eyes were profound and intense, exuding a commanding presence. He spoke with a clear, deep voice, “I’ll take three more shares from the five–tenths freed up by the Heartland Chamber of Commerce.”
These shares were held by Daniel and two others. Now that they’ve been arrested, the Heartland Chamber of Commerce was essentially up for grabs, and many investors were eyeing this lucrative opportunity.
Jason originally wanted to ask Lenore if she wanted to pick the shares herself, but upon hearing this, he was momentarily taken aback and said, “Mr. Faulkner, are you sure?”
Silas gave him a sideways glance and said, “Is there any problem?”
Jason had always known that the mysterious fifth board member was the young master of the Faulkner family from Denisville. Although he didn’t know why Silas invested in the Heartland Chamber of Commerce, having such a prominent figure involved meant the chamber had significant backing.
That was the reason he agreed at first. But now, with an extra three shares, Silas had seven–tenths of the total shares. With his position, he could easily take over the Heartland Chamber of Commerce.
Jason hesitated a bit and said, “I’ll step out to make a call, please wait for a moment, Mr. Faulkner.”
Silas raised an eyebrow and said, “Okay.”
In less than two minutes, Jason came back and politely asked, “When can Mr. Faulkner sign the contract?”
Lenore agreed so quickly, making Silas’s eyes twinkle with amusement and his mood unexpectedly brightened. “Anytime,” he replied.
In the Rose Mansion, Lethe had just been there for a couple of hours when she got a phone call and had to dash off again in a hurry.
Bonnie was upstairs practicing her dance, with the soothing music flowing softly and unobtrusively.

Chapter 76
Downstairs, Lenore was on a video call with Siren. Siren propped her chin on her hand and said, “Silas upped the offer to two billion.”
Lenore sat with her legs crossed over the corner of the table, radiating her usual confident aura. She didn’t even blink at the news, her voice cool and detached. “Not taking it,” she said.
Siren gave a slight grin. She thought, “Two billion just to look into a racer. It’s impressive how Silas remains indifferent about money!
Silas sent a message asking if she wanted to have dinner that night. Lenore narrowed her eyes slightly. This guy’s investment in the Heartland Chamber of Commerce was obviously because of her.
After a pause, Lenore typed back: [Busy.]
After replying, she asked Siren, “What’s going on in Orinadia now?”
Siren didn’t really understand why she was so concerned about Orinadia’s epidemic, but she answered seriously, “The outbreak is settling down. The Mueller family’s shipment is safe with Blood Raven personally handling it.”
Blood Raven is one of the six major members of Stormwings Operatives Team Three.
Silas had just stepped out of the Heartland Chamber of Commerce when he got a call from Thaloria. Claude said, “Boss, there’s another group of unknown people who have their eyes on the shipment heading to Orinadia.”
Silas furrowed his brow, his eyes showing a hint of menace. He said, “Take them out!”
