Chapter 61
Wayne nodded vigorously, his eyes bright, full of anticipation. “You can do it, right? Name your price?
Lenore glanced at Silas, thinking about how he spent money to investigate Sonic. She thought for a few seconds, tilted her head slightly, and said slowly, “The racing bikes used in international competitions are uniform, right?”
Even though getting the permit was a piece of cake for her, making sure nobody would think he bent the rules–that was the tricky part.
Wayne got the feeling that Lenore was too sharp to be easily fooled. He quickly glanced at Silas, leaned back, cupped his mouth with his hand, and dropped his voice. “The rules for the international competition but the private races…”
Lenore wasn’t one to pry, but tweaking a motorcycle was not hard for her. “I’ll do it when I have time. About the pay…” She paused, waving her phone at Silas with an innocent look in her eyes. “That 300 million you mentioned earlier.”
‘300 million to modify a car? Gold parts? She’s making a killing! Chuck thought, nearly losing grip on the steering wheel again, but since Silas didn’t say anything, he didn’t dare to have any opinions.
The rain lasted all night and stopped at dawn.
Lenore strolled onto campus, crunching through the fallen branches and leaves with her school uniform fluttering in the breeze. She looked sharp and stunning, radiating this cool vibe that drew eyes her way.
Even though this had been the norm since she started at Greenvine High School, today there was a tinge of fear in the students‘ eyes, mixed with a fiery, messed–up kind of shock.
“Lenore, you’re killing it!” Lance spotted her from a distance and hustled over, even quicker than Kyle, his excitement palpable. “No idea you had these skills. Are you like a secret pro racer or something?”
“Lenore, you’re so awesome. You actually beat Carlos!”
“Lenore, how long have you been practicing that mid–air drift?”
“Lenore, have you learned acrobatics?”
With Lance’s lead, others also rushed up and asked. In an instant, they surrounded Lenore.
Lenore’s eyebrows knitted together. She felt a chill and got annoyed as her eyes landed on Kyle through the crowd.
Under her icy, intense stare, Kyle shivered and quickly ushered the students away. “What are you guys doing? Skip class? Get outta here, all of you. Back to class.”
After dispersing the crowd, he came over and whispered to Lenore, “I don’t know who recorded the video of you racing with Carlos last night and posted it on the Greenvine High School forum…”
This thing had everyone talking, and the moment that video dropped, everyone’s jaws hit the floor watching Lenore rip it up on the track. The whole Greenvine High School was buzzing, and that was what led to this whole scene.
Lance eagerly flipped the post around for her to check out, his eyes all lit up. “Lenore, from now on, you’re my idol!”
Lenore watched the video, her face getting stonier by the second, and then she turned to leave.
Kyle was stunned. “Aunt Lenore, class is about to start. Where are you going?”
“Bathroom, Lenore replied, her voice casual and light.
In Regal Villas, Block 3 of Area A, a red exclamation mark icon suddenly flashed in the bottom right corner of the computer screen.
Chuck’s face tightened, and he swiftly toggled the anti–tracking feature, clutching the laptop to his chest as he hurried upstairs. “Mr. Faulkner! Xtreme has surfaced!”
“Where?” Wayne’s excitement rivaled Silas’s.
The computer alarm had fallen silent. Chuck frowned. “It only showed up for a blink, but the location’s pinned….” His eyes widened. “At Greenvine High School?”
Silas’s gaze turned icy. “You’re telling me Xtreme is a high school kid?”

Chapter 61
Chuck shrugged, meekly handing over the laptop. On the screen, among a mess of gibberish code, the locked location indeed pointed to Greenvine High School.
Wayne curled his lips. “This has to be Xtreme messing with us.”
The legendary leader Xtreme of the Stormwings Operatives Team Three had been elusive for so long. He was last seen in Jinslenburg and now was supposedly at a high school, which was rather hard to believe.
Xtreme, who has been a force in the hacking world six or seven years ago, is a high school student? He’s obviously jerking our chain! But it’s also possible that Xtreme is thinking a step ahead, using misdirection to hide,‘ Wayne thought.
Silas furrowed his brow, pondering for a moment, and then he gave Chuck a meaningful look. “Keep an eye on Greenvine High School,” he instructed. “Let’s see if we can spot any suspicious characters lurking.”
