Chapter 33: Sne wanted to Force in to ACKNOWicuge we manage, No Way!
No one expected Gemma to suddenly stop right in front of Benedict.
She was in a bit of a hurry.
“Mr. Cedric, I suspect there’s a foreign object in your chest vessels. You need surgery as soon as possible.”
She had once attended Benedict’s birthday party, but disguised herself as a waitress.
Since Marcus didn’t want her identity to be known, she had to hide it in order to care for Ali.
At that time, she’d noticed something was off with Mr. Cedric, but didn’t think much of it.
Now, she had pieced everything together. The issue was life–threatening and couldn’t wait any longer.
Benedict furrowed his brow.
He had suspected something was wrong with his health, but being older, he thought it was just complications from his blood pressure issues.
As for the “foreign object in his blood vessels,” it sounded ridiculous.
“You left the competition area without permission. Your team is disqualified
Although he was older, his voice was commanding.
“Mr. Cedric, if you don’t believe me, just go get checked out. This can’t be delayed!”
Cedric stood up from the audience.
“Dr. Kelestine, you’ve gone too far!”
He had come to watch out of boredom, never expecting things to take such a turn.
He could understand Gemma using tricks to get back to Marcus.
But he wouldn’t allow her to use his grandfather as a pawn.
“You shouldn’t use an elderly man to get what you want!”
He was holding back his anger only for Marcus‘ sake.
Otherwise, Gemma would’ve been dragged away by now.
Brian quickly stepped in, gently pulling Gemma’s arm.
“Gemma, don’t do anything rash. Let’s go rest for now.”
The results were definitely going to be invalidated, but he wasn’t blaming her.
And he already planned to take the fall when they got back to the hospital.
Mabel sneered and asked on purpose.
“Gemma, are you trying to go down a different path because you think victory is out of reach?”
“You’re really brave, huh? Daring to challenge a medical expert! Don’t you think Mr. Gray will go easy on you?”
The audience around them murmured, looking at Gemma with disdain.
Marcus remained silent, his expression cold.
After today, Gemma would definitely lose her job.
Then she could just stay at home and be a full–time wife.
Alijah, seeing everyone around him criticizing Gemma, felt embarrassed and turned his face away, pretending not to know
her..
“I’m not trying to get attention,” Gemma said, “Cedric, think of this as a precaution, just take your grandfather for a check–up right away.”
Cedric’s face darkened. “I’ve given you an out because of Marcus, and you’re still pushing it? Don’t say I didn’t warn you!”

He waved his hand, and several bodyguards rushed forward, surrounding Gemma.
“Take her out and find out who sent her to slander my grandfather!”
The people around them finally understood.
“So this whole thing is to make us panic. She faked the new! After all, Mr. Gray is in charge of so many research projects!”
“Yeah, it’s said that Mr. Gray spent forty–three years extracting stem cells and broke the monopoly abroad”
“Gemma’s spreading rumors about Mr. Gray being seriously ill? She’s an undercover agent from overseas, isn’t she?” “Doesn’t she know how much damage this will do to our country if the news gets out?”
“Get out of here!”
The crowd was in an uproar, and Gemma’s name shot up on the trending list, cursed all over social media.
Within minutes, the hashtag #Gemma went viral.
But Gemma didn’t know any of this. She was being held back by the bodyguards, unable to break free.
Brian tried to help but was grabbed by the bodyguards as well.
Just as they were about to be thrown out, a group of people suddenly burst in.
Each of them was dressed in black, exuding a menacing aura.
With a simple move, they rescued Gemma, immediately surrounding and protecting her.
Cedric was shocked. “Who are you people?”
The crowd was equally stunned. “Is this some foreign force here to rescue the undercover agent
But soon, Cedric turned to look at Marcus.
Could it be that he was going to protect Gemma publicly?
That couldn’t be right.
Marcus had never even looked at her when she was publicly humiliated in the past.
Marcus also furrowed his brow, looking confused, and stared at the door.
When Cedric saw it wasn’t Marcus, he became even more uneasy.
Could it be that Gemma had a hidden identity?
The next moment!
The audience gasped.
At the entrance, a man in a gray suit slowly walked in. His sharp, chiseled features and cold gaze gave off an intimidating presence. His tall figure naturally commanded attention.
Beside him, a little boy was holding his hand.
The boy was wearing the same color suit, with a crocodile water bottle slung over his shoulder, holding a crocodile plush. toy in his other hand. He looked adorably clueless.
“Who’s that? That outfit looks like it’s… custom–made by the Queen! Priceless!
“He’s so handsome!”
“The atmosphere’s so intense. I can’t say a word.”
As the man drew closer, the entire venue fell silent.
Cedric stared in disbelief. “Mr. Cassius?”
Gemma was equally stunned. Before she could speak, Noah had already jumped into her arms.
“Gemuna, I missed you so much!”
Gemma smiled gently and pinched his cheek. “Good boy, what are you doing here?”
To stand up for Gemma, of course. I watched the livestream!” Noah shook his phone.
“Gemma is so awesome, how could they not believe you? They’re all idiots!”

Cassius scanned the room with a cold gaze.
Benedict also stood up, his voice respectful. “Mr. Cassius, why are you here in person!”
Cassius spoke casually. “When it concerns your health, it’s only right to take it seriously.”
He paused and then looked at Gemma.
“You’re saying Mr. Cedric has a health issue?”
Gemma didn’t know his connection to the Gray family, but she’d been dismissed and even dragged, unable to speak up until
NOW
Now, finally having the chance to explain, she spoke.
“I was just observing Mr. Gray during the finals. Within ten minutes, I noticed his arm had seven instances of unconscious
scle spasms
As she spoke, Benedict’s face changed drastically.
“Yes, these muscle spasms usually happen during deep sleep.”
“When your breathing rate drops to its lowest during sleep, your brain tries to wake your body up
“But in a conscious state, this only happens when the brain senses a death signal and keeps trying to warn the body.”
“Right now, it seems like these signals have been ignored.”
Cedric, who had been full of anger, seemed ready to explode at any moment, but when Gemma finished speaking, he fell into deep thought.
Actually, a few months ago, Benedict had gone for a chest X–ray due to persistent coughing
The doctor said the X–ray didn’t look right and recommended a second opinion with an expert.
But Benedict had brushed it off as just a case of pneumonia and didn’t make a big deal out of it. Now, thinking back…
“Grandfather…” His voice trembled as he nervously looked at Benedict.
Mabel suddenly shouted, “What nonsense! You’re just trying to scare us!”
