Chapter 18
“Are you done!” Natalie asked, her tone icy

Jennifer just steered in response. She whispered to Natalic. The smart, get out of here fast, and never come back! Brian is mine, and so is the Linney family. You stand no chance against me.”
Natalie brushed Jenniler aside with an indifferent expression. She didn’t push hard, but Jennifer still fell to the ground with a shriek
Coincidentally, Brian, who was nearby, heard the commotion and hurried over. He helped Jennifer up from the ground and asked, “Jennifer, are you okay?” Brian had been encouraged by his parents to spend time at the Linney home, especially with Jennifer, to keep up appearances for Gordon and Evelyn.
After seeing Natalie at the cafe the day before, Brian was puzzled by her reluctance to reunite with him despite his confession of feelings. Brian realized he wasn’t ready to give up on Natalie or Jennifer
As his mons Brianna said, it was common for powerful men to have more than one woman. Even if Brian had Jennifer, he would be dedicated to Natalie. He even thought about making her his only mistress “What more could Natalie want? Why does she still feel slighted? he wondered.
Brian, a rich and influential man, was convinced that being his mistress was better than marrying someone lesser. Plus, he loved Natalie. He was willing to have a child with Natalie. Once the Sherman Group expanded, he intended to leave Jennifer to marry her. Since Natalie claimed to love him Brian couldn’t understand her rejection.
At that moment, Jennifer turned to Natalie and asked, “Natalie, what did I do? Why did you push me!”

Disgusted by Jennifer’s play, Natalie replied, “Everything you say annoys me”
Jennifer was taken aback by the response and looked pleadingly at Brian for support.
Brian frowned and said, “Nat, I know there’s had blood between you and Jennifer, but she’s always been innocent and nice. Why would you push
“So you think I pushed her, then Natalie challenged.
I can only trust what I see,” responded Brian.
Hearing that, Natalie laughed harshly, I should have known better, she thought. Stepping forward, while Jennifer watched her with smug and suspicious eyes, Natalie shoved Jennifer forcefully. With a cry, Jennifer stumbled hack, her head striking the ground. A rock dug into her waist, turning her face pale with pain.
“Now you’ve seen it, right? This is how I pushed her,” Natalie declared, each word deliberate,
Brian clenched his jaw and said coldly. “Nat, you’ve disappointed me. You weren’t like this before
“Good for you! Now you see the real me,” Natalie said and headed for the exit, maffected.
Brian thought to follow her, but Jennifer clung to him, wailing, “Brian, it hurts a lot.
Hesitating for a moment, Brian lifted Jennifer and said, “Let’s get you to a doctor.
“Okay,” Jennifer replied weakly
When Brian helped Jennifer up, he glanced back at Natalie and saw her got into a Bentley Continental.
Jennifer saw this too. She squeezed Brian’s hand and nestled closer. “Brian, Natalie is all looks and no substance. I doubt any high–class family would take her seriously,” she said.
Brian stayed quiet. Jennifer bit her lip and ventured. “Do you think she could be someone’s mistress!”
Brian didn’t respond to Jennifer immediately. He looked away, his expression complex, and said, “Let’s get those scrapes of yours treated first”
Natalie sat in the car for about twenty minutes, Josh emerged slowly, bathed in a warm glow that highlighted his tall, dignified figure and made him stand out Walking up to Natalic, his captivating aura was unmistakable.
As he got in the car, he asked with a charming voice, “Have you been waiting long!”
“No, not too long Natalie replied softly. After a short pause, Natalie asked, “What did Grandpa say to you?”

Chapter 18
Josh glanced at Natalie and smiled. “He said they’ve entrusted you to me. He brushed Natalie’s hair behind her ear and said warmly. “From now on. you’re mine.” Josh looked deep into her eyes and added, “And I am yours.”
Natalie felt a rush. Although she knew Josh was speaking figuratively, his words still touched her
“Suddenly, an obstacle appeared on the road, and Martin, the driver, swerved sharply. Natalie was thrown off balance and ended up in Josh’s arms. Josh chuckled and held her close.
She could smell his fresh, clean scent.”
Natalie was so flustered that she gripped the fabric of his shirt.
Martin let out a relieved breath and asked, “Mr. Franco, are you both okay?*
Josh, still holding Natalie close, rubbed the top of her head and said, “We’re fine. Keep driving”
“Will do sir,” Martin replied.
Natalie then sat up straight. She realized she had accidentally ripped a button off his shirt. And it was from around his waist. Peering through the gap, she caught sight of the toned muscles beneath
Josh caught her hand and siniled. “Slow down, Nat. What’s the rush? What do you want to do with me?”

I didn’t mean to Natalie stammered, embarrassed.

Josh looked at her with a twinkle in his eye, placed her hand back on his waist, and spoke sofily, “Whatever you want, it’s okay.. because I’m all yours.” He met her gaze with intensity, his smile charming. “At your service, he declared playfully.
As Josh’s voice wrapped around Natalie, she felt a magnetic charm. Her heart raced, her face hot, feeling like her heart was melting. Her senses told her to pull away, but Josh held her hand tighter and kissed her on the cheek. Just wait. When we’re home, I’m all yours,” he whispered.
Natalie held her breath, and her heart raced
Martin, their driver, had never seen Josh like this. He was totally surprised
They soon arrived at Galaxy Manor. Josh picked up Natalie and carried her upstairs, placing her gently on the soft bed. His gaze was intense as if he was a hunter eyeing his catch. Then he leaned over her.
Natalie propped herself up, leaning back. She bit her lip and shyly looked up at Josh, her nose pink and her eyelashes fluttering
Josh looked down at her, then lifted her chin, making her look into his eyes. “Nar Joch said softly,
“Yeah?” Natalie answered.
Josh’s voice was slightly rough as he asked, “Did you ever look at Brian this way?”
Natalie was puzzled. She didn’t understand Josh’s meaning, but she knew she’d never looked at Brian with the same feeling as she did at Josh. Brian was a polished man, but Josh was different. He seemed gentle, but one stern look from him could make Natalie feel alarmed.
Seeing her anxious expression, Josh laughed and lightly touched her nose with his finger. He then walked over to a drawer. Returning with an ointment, he said. “Come here”
