09–A Girl’s Girl
Nora:

“What are you saying?” I gave her a broken smile, thinking she had finally lost her mind. This was a crazy thing to confess to. An omega blackmailing the alpha king to date her was something that would lead her to a very severe punishment. I really wished she was lying just to comfort herself that she got a chance with Silas.
“I am serious. I got my hands on something. He would never want it out or else he will lose the crown. So now, he will have no choice but to love me,” she raised her brow, looking so proud of herself as she revealed her evil plans. I quickly got out of my seat and faced her.
“Have you lost your mind?” I yelled at her, the smile disappearing from her lips.
“Why are you getting upset? Are you not a girls‘ girl?” That delusional girl was way out of line. She thought I would be her confidante?
“Mia! You are talking about my stepbrother. Do you have any idea what crime you are committing? And I would never allow you to fool him or blackmail him into choosing a mate,” I hissed at her, using a stern tone while glaring into her eyes. What did she think of herself and what the heck did she have on him?
“Huh?” She stepped back, eyeing me from head to toe.
“You’re so righteous, aren’t you?” The change in her tone shocked me. “Aren’t you the one who’s accused of seducing her stepbrothers?” She asked, and anger surged through my veins.

“You’re the one who’s constantly trying to ruin their relationships. I live in this mansion too. I hear and see everything. You act so good. while you’re so crazy yourself. It’s just that you don’t want to admit it. and I thought you would understand me,” she yelled like never before, leaving me in shock.
“I will take you to Lord Atwood so that he gets to decide what to do with you,” I grabbed her arm to drag her away, but she shrugged. herself free and stepped further away from me.
“No, I won’t go anywhere with you. And if you try to force me, I will leak whatever I have on Silas and ruin his entire life. And then all the blame will come back to you,” she pointed her finger at me, causing my body to shudder.
I’ve been accused of a lot of stuff, and if Silas’s matters got into the mix. I don’t think I will ever be able to recover from it.
“So from now on, respect me because soon, I’ll be dating your precious. stepbrother and the alpha king of the pack,” she giggled, dreamily clasping her hands together and walking away.
I was frozen, struggling to wrap my head around the fact that the title. of alpha king came with so much difficulty and challenges. Everyone. wants to date them, and in order to achieve it, they were willing to cross all boundaries. I wondered what she had on Silas. I was not at all ready to let her use him.
I walked out of the living room, and as I neared my room, I couldn’t help but raise my head and stare at the staircase.
“I must warn Silas,” I decided. Since I had been doing everything on my own, I got accused. But if I stay away and inform only Silas, I would be fine. That was the plan then.

I nodded to myself and walked upstairs to the third floor to find Silas. Luckily for me, he was standing outside his room, using his phone. It was as if he was about to go inside when I spotted him.
“Silas!” His name left my lips in a soft murmur. He turned to me and frowned before sliding his phone into his pocket and approaching me.
“You need something? You never really visit this floor,” he joked with the most serious face ever.
“I wanted to speak to you about something.” I began nervously fidgeting with my fingers. I didn’t know if he would even believe me at this point.
“If it’s about last night’s incident, I don’t want to hear it. I don’t really care. You said sorry and we all accepted it. I’m not holding you guilty for it.” he shrugged with a smile. Though comforting, sadly, I didn’t have very good news for him.
“But it’s about you,” I murmured, and he narrowed his eyes at me in bewilderment.

“What about me?” He leaned over, trying to meet my eyes as I stood. before him with my head down.
“Mia just told me that she has something on you. Some very private stuff that if she leaked it, you would lose your crown,” I finished, just so I could see his reaction. I was slightly scared he would think I was lying or somehow involved with Mia’s schemes.
“That bitch!” His response was quick, however.
“Why would she do that?” he asked himself,
“Because she wants to use it against you, to blackmail you into accepting her as your mate,” I spoke in a gentle tone, ensuring nobody

else could hear us.
“Really?” Silas scoffed. “Well then, she’s up for a surprise.”
The way he said that sounded very creepy. He was clearly enraged but kept a smile on his lips. It was as if he was already making plans to deal with the situation.
“Do you think I did the right thing by telling you?” I asked meekly, and his attention turned back to me. The anger on his face softened into a much gentler expression.
He held my hand and gently squeezed it, making me look down at our hands.
“You did the right thing. I’m glad you gave me a heads–up.” he confirmed, giving me the sweetest smile.
“Now go get ready for tomorrow and don’t worry about Mia. I will deal with this matter in a way that this topic will never be raised again,” his voice turned harsh and deep, matching the intensity in his eyes that slightly scared me. I returned to my room, convincing myself that I had done the right thing.
