Chapter 58
When Ella woke up, she was back in Ardbert City.
Jenny was by her bedside. “You’re finally awake. I was so scared. The doctor said you fainted from exhaustion and a bit of malnutrition. They think it might also be related to your fear of the sea”
“Where’s Jaden Ella clutched Jenny’s sleeve, refusing to give up hope.
“Ella, you heard them, didn’t you? He’s gone. You have to accept it. You still love me and Grandpa. You’re still young and can find another partner who understands you better.
“You did everything you could for him. If he’d stayed with the Watson family, he might have to suffer, more. Besides, Jaden wandered off on his own. It’s not your fault that he’s missing. Don’t put so much pressure on yourself.”
Ella was silent. She thought she would cry, but she didn’t shed any tears.
“Jenny. I’d like to be alone for a while,” Ella said.
“Let me stay with you,” Jenny offered, worried about her.

Ella said, “I’m fine. I won’t allow myself to grieve for too long 1 have the Willow Group to manage and Grandpa to take care of. I’m still young. I won’t break down over Jaden. I’m just tired. I think I need more rest
Jenny said, “Alright, but call me if you need anything. Il be right outside
Jenny tucked Ella in, filled with worry as she left.
The large hospital room was now empty except for Ella. She curled up, hugging herself tightly. Even though the room was air–conditioned and the blanket was thick, she still felt so cold.
She thought even if she arrived late, no matter what had happened to Jaden, she could at least bring back his body. But she never expected that in the end, she didn’t even see his body.
If Ella hadn’t been so willful and hadn’t taken Jaden away from the Watson family, he wouldn’t be missing.
Maybe his life would have been very hard and he might have been bullied, but he would have gotten used to it over the years.
At the very least, he could have survived in the Watson family Jaden was simple–minded and didn’t hold grudges.
As long as he had enough to eat, he would be content. The Watson family might treat him hurshly, but they wouldn’t starve him.
Jaden could live the life he wanted, much better than kasing his life.
Ella felt that she was truly useless. She had caused the deaths of her parents, worried her grandfather, and now, she had brought about the death of Jaden. Her heart filled with sorrow
She closed her eyes in deep pain, feeling as if she couldn’t have any feeling anymore.
Everyone feared Ella might collapse under the weight of her grief. But surprisingly, she returned to normal quickly
She never mentioned Jaden or the funeral. She continued her routine of going home, visiting the nursing home, and attending to matters at the company.
She dressed brightly and wore delicate makeup, as charming as ever.
She didn’t announce Jaden’s death, acting as if nothing had happened. Yet, behind the scenes, she donated a large sum to social institutions. determined to make thour involved in smuggling pay
Privately, she continued to have people investigate the matter, still searching for the little girl who had deceived Jailen.
In her view, anyone who committed wrongdoing, regardless of whether they were a child, pregnant woman, or elderly, should face consequences.
Ella began to leave early and return late. Her understanding of many company affairs was superficial, and she lacked the patience to handle them properly.
But now, she forced herself to learn. If she couldn’t grasp something in one hour, she would spend two hours, or even three.
Ella believed that with enough time and effort, she would eventually understand everything thoroughly.

While she might not have a natural talent for business, she wasn’t stupid. As long as she was willing to learn and put in the effort, she was confident that she would succeed

Chapter 58
She also established a foundation for intellecnally disabled patients, providing them with treatment or sending them to specialized welfare institutions if treatment wasn’t possible.
She donated money to these institutions and provided bonuses to caregivers
Sometimes, when she missed Jaden, she would go and look around these places.
Seeing these people gave her a sense of closeness, as if that big boy who waited for her at meals and protected her fearlessly was among them.
Everyone thought Ella was fine, but her grandfather and Jenny were worried sick
In the company, Jenny kept a close eye on Ella, afraid she might suddenly collapse.
Ella’s grandfather had even moved back from the nursing home to spend more time with her.
After work. Ella didn’t want to go home, choosing instead to stay and work lute.
She kept herself busy until past eleven when her phone rang. It was the private investigator she had hired. Her heart skipped a beat. She wondered if they finally found the girl.
She quickly answered the call. After listening, her phone slipped from her hand and crashed to the floor.
They hadn’t found the girl, but the investigator had uncovered something else. This wasn’t just a simple case of human trafficking.
Someone had been orchestrating the whole thing Harry had dealings with these monsters.
Ella thought. It was ham…
Ella had always thought it was an accident, but it turned out to be a deliberate act
Overwhelmed with emotion, she went to the underground garage and sat in her car, trying to calm herself but failing.
She slammed on the gas pedal, driving straight to the Rhys family villa
“Ms. Willow? Let me inform them…” the security guard began, but Ella’s car reversed slightly before she leaned on the horn.
The headlights were blinding, making it impossible to see clearly. The noise brought people out of the villa, and she saw Harry in the distance. Narrowing her eyes, Ella floored the accelerator.
With a deafening crash, the iron gate was smashed open
The car sped towards Harry, who stood frozen, unable to move.
Just as the car was about to hit him, it screeched to a halt, the tires screeching against the ground.
The impact threw Ella’s forehead against the steering wheel, causing it to bleed and swell. Yet, she seemed oblivious to the pain, glaring coldly at Harry
feeling the murderous intent emanating from Ella.
Harry, in shock, collapsed to the ground, feeling
She stepped out of the deformed car, her high heels clicking on the pavement. The blood on her forehead looked like an eerie decoration Approaching Harry, she noticed a foul smell. He had lost control of his bowels in fear.
“Are you out of your mind, Ella Harry yelled, regaining his composure and fury.
“It’s just a gate. I can pay for it,” Ella said.
Harry said, “This isn’t about the gate. You’re too outrageous. Do you think I won’t…”
Ella interrupted coldly. “You colluded with traffickers and caused Jaden’s death. This won’t end here. I might not have evidence now, but I find it. One day, I’ll send you to prison and make you pay.”
Harry frowned but showed no fear. So what if he knew! He had covered his tracks well. But the fact that she was willing to kill him for Jaden angered him
“Ella, big talk is easy. Let’s see who’s truly capable. One day, 111
, I’ll make your life a living hell?” Harry sneered
Ella felt disgusted but knew she couldn’t deal with Harry yet, and Harry couldn’t harm her either. So, the battle would continue in the business areni
