Chapter 1722Thalassa didn’t argue back. To get the answers she needed, confronting Susan directly was the
best approach. After all, Callum was only there to uncover the truth for her. How could he possibly
know the details of how Susan set her up?
They soon arrived at the police station. Susan was locked up, crouched in a cell, looking defeated
and as miserable as a stray dog caught in a storm.
“Susan, get up. You’ve got visitors!” The officer banged on the metal door authoritatively.
Lifting her head slowly, Susan’s dim gaze landed on Thalassa, and then on Callum standing beside
her. Her eyes suddenly sparked to life. Scrambling to her feet, she rushed to the bars, gripping them
tightly, her voice urgent as she addressed Callum, “Why did it take you so long to get here?”

Thalassa immediately stepped in front of Callum, eyeing Susan warily, “Mr. Gordon was gathering
evidence for me. Why are you so bitter towards me?”
Susan’s gaze tried to pierce past Thalassa, fixated on Callum with a clear plea in her eyes. Callum,
usually smiling, now had a look of stern warning directed at Susan.
Seeing the shift in Callum’s expression, Susan’s briefly brightened eyes dimmed again, fear taking
over. She lowered her lashes, only to sharply look up again, her gaze fierce as she spat at
Thalassa, “What are you here for, to gloat?”
“Watch your mouth!” The officer rapped on the door again, a threatening reminder to Susan.
Intimidated by the authority, Susan slightly moderated her tone but her breathing was heavy with
anger, her eyes still brimming with hatred and ferocity as she glared at Thalassa, her grip on the
bars whitening her knuckles.”You stole my designs, swapped the genuine materials for cheap knockoffs. There’s surveillance
footage and evidence against you. You can’t deny it!” Thalassa’s voice was cold as she laid out
Susan’s crimes.

“The footage was supposed to be deleted. How could it still be shown? I refuse to accept this!”
Susan, clearly agitated, glared back at Thalassa.
Upstodatee from Novel(D)ra/m/a.O(r)g”Did you really think deleting the footage would be the end of it? Haven’t you heard of data
recovery?” Thalassa mocked her naivety. Susan was despicable, resorting to any means necessary
to achieve her ends.
“What! Data recovery?” Susan was taken aback, clearly unaware that the deleted footage could be
restored. Her confidence at the exhibition, openly persecuting Thalassa, was based on the belief
that with the footage gone, she was safe.
Her shock at seeing the footage played back was palpable; despite her efforts to delete it, there it
was, for all to see. Indeed, data recovery had revealed her deception and persecution of Thalassa,
leading to her arrest.
Susan, hands reaching through the bars, claws out in anger, shouted at Callum, “Why the hell did
you help her? I swear, you’re the reason I’m in this mess!”
As Susan lost control, Thalassa quickly pulled Callum back, ensuring they were out of harm’s way.
The officer approached, handcuffing Susan’s outstretched hands and scolded, “Calm down, or I’ll
have to use the taser!”
The mention of the taser made Susan freeze in fear, her body shaking not just with anger but with
fright. Her chest heaved as she glared at Thalassa, eyes bloodshot, struggling to contain her rage.”Susan, just tell me, who put you up to framing me?” Thalassa’s voice was firm, demanding the
truth.
“I did it because I can’t stand you. Who else would I need?” Susan hissed through clenched teeth.
