Chapter 1283
“Hello?”
Collin heard Ivor’s deep voice from the other end of the phone.
“I need to talk to you about something.”
This was the first time he had heard Ivor speak to him in such a tone. He couldn’t help but feel a little surprised.
“Keep it short, then. I’m moving out soon.”
Ivor proceeded to give Collin a brief rundown of Yasmine’s situation.
“She’s probably near your hotel and will find a way to blend into your people when you move out.” Collin remained quiet. The silence lasted for more than ten seconds before he found his voice again. “Um… Yasmine is really smitten with Boyd, it seems.” Ads by PubFuture
‘The thing is, Boyd is actually a lady! Obviously, Yasmine had fallen in love with the wrong person.’ Now, it was Ivor’s turn to fall silent. He asked in a deep voice, “Is that all you’ve got?”
Collin asked, “What else do you want from me? What kind of answer are you looking for?”
“Technically speaking, Yasmine is taking part in your organization without permission. I want to know your take on it.”
‘My primary concern is that her action will have ramifications on our agreement about borrowing the chip. I don’t quite care about the rest.’
Collin knew instantly what he meant.
“It’s true. Yasmine’s actions are inappropriate. Her actions could seem like you breached the agreement. However, we aren’t that petty. She’s only doing this because she’s worried about Boyd. It’d be unbecoming of us to hold you responsible for something like this.”
With that, he paused a little and said something that reassured Ivor.
“I’ll explain this situation to Boyd. There’s nothing to be worried about here. He’s understanding. He won’t hold this over you guys and refuse to lend the chip.” Ads by PubFuture
Ivor felt much better.
‘What surprises me is how friendly and approachable Collin is today. I thought he’d be all sarcastic before I made this call.’
“So… Are you going to let Yasmine join your operation?”
“Since she’s gone this far, I don’t think stopping her will help. Instead, she’ll just find another way to follow us so she can see Boyd. I think we should let her tag along with us.” Collin didn’t think much of it. “Furthermore, Yasmine is probably a capable fighter. I won’t have to worry too much about her.”Content © provided by NôvelDrama.Org.
Ivor confidently responded to Collin, “You’re right. Yasmine is capable of handling herself. So, you don’t have to look out for her. Just remind her not to be overly excited when she sees Boyd.”
‘I have no idea about the specifics of their operation, but I do know that it’s a perilous one, given Boyd’s current circumstances.
‘Now that they’ve agreed to let Yasmine tag along, the least she could do is stay out of trouble.’
“Alright. You go it. I’ll give her a gentle reminder.” Collin said. He raised his hand, saw that it was almost time, and said to Ivor, “We’re going to begin the operation soon. Is there anything else? I’m going to hang up otherwise.”
Ivor responded faintly, “That’s all. Goodbye.”
Collin ended the call. Then he got his equipment and went over to where his men were gathered.
He swept his eyes across them and looked at a corner. There was a tall, slender figure, who was dressed in a black shirt and pants, complete with a black hat.
It was nighttime. On top of that, she was dressed entirely in black in a large crowd of people. No one would’ve noticed her under normal circumstances.
