As William hastily arranged for the fighter jet to reach Yuanchuan, his mind was preoccupied with another matter.
What matter?
Was President Grant seriously planning to pilot the fighter jet himself to search for someone?
With earthquakes threatening to strike at any moment, and the worst area just having experienced a disaster, Madison might have lost contact. How could he let President Grant go himself?
“William?”
Amidst the hurried crowd, someone called his name, and William turned around. That turn made his heart skip.
“Miss Yin?” William scanned his surroundings and asked, “You’re here to support the effort too?”
The woman who called him, now clad in battle dress, exuded a vigorous and heroic aura. Her short hair barely enough to tie back, her face dusted with grime, did not obscure her commanding presence. “Of course, I came. But you…” she looked around, not finding the familiar figure she expected.
William explained, “I came with President Grant.”
“In such a dangerous place, what’s he doing here?” The woman frowned.
William paused, “Looking for someone.”
At that, Yin Xiangtian’s eyes shifted, and she nodded, “Tell him to be careful.”
“Will do. You too, Miss Yin.”
“I’m off.”
The woman waved her hand and turned back to immerse herself in the rescue work.
For this support operation in Yuanchuan, three flight squads were dispatched.
One was tasked with repairing the local electrical circuits.
Another was responsible for searching for victims at the site.
The third was charged with transporting the injured.
The squad Madison was with was responsible for transporting the injured.
And the squad searching for victims on-site was led by the woman he had just encountered.
All three squads were locally available, official flight teams, under official orders.
The selection competition before the earthquake was an official attempt to form a civilian flight squad, thereby creating a four-squad team.
“Team Yin, there’s someone here!” a rescuer called out.
Yin Xiangtian immediately rushed over, her tall frame of 172 cm dressed in combat boots moved with such an efficiency that the term ‘lightning fast’ seemed inadequate. She knelt on the ground, frantically digging through the rubble.
When she grasped a swollen hand, Yin Xiangtian lay flat on the ground, shouting to the person buried beneath, “Don’t give up, we’re here to save you! Do you hear me?” The pulse was still there, the person was alive.
“Save… my boyfriend…” the voice was so faint it was almost imperceptible.
Yin Xiangtian kept the victim talking, keeping her conscious.
“Where’s the transport squad?” she asked.
The rescuer, out of breath from digging, responded, “They all went to the disaster area.”
“Not one plane was left here?” Yin Xiangtian’s voice grew stern, “So we just abandon the people here?” Ads by PubFuture

The others didn’t dare to speak.
Yin Xiangtian quickly used the direct contact signal to call for help.
Despite most circuits being destroyed, some were still functioning.
After three or four attempts, the call connected.
She yelled into the phone, “You didn’t leave us even one plane? Aren’t these lives worth anything? Send back two jets immediately!”
On the other end, Dong Buwen replied, “Team Yin, I didn’t make these decisions, I’m just following orders.”
“Whose orders? The Aviation Authority?” Yin Xiangtian pressed, “I need three jets now… if there’s a problem, they can come to me!” Yin Xiangtian hung up abruptly.
At the main disaster zone.
Dong Buwen was unharmed, but some of his team were injured, and so were the three commercial pilots.
“Are you okay?” Charlie, ignoring the blood on her own arm, was deeply concerned for Madison who had been hit in the head by a stone.
Madison, pressing on the wound on her head, fortunately not serious, said, “I’m fine, let’s focus on the rescue.”
“Team Yin needs three jets, you three head over there,” Dong Buwen said after some thought.
Henry asked, “Where to?”
“Back to Yuanchuan.”
“Why should we?” Ye Han immediately questioned, “If Team Yin needs people, we should go.”

The situation wasn’t as severe at Yuanchuan’s center, while their location was extremely dangerous. Why would Dong Buwen want to send help away?
Dong Buwen glanced at Ye Han.
“You three go now.”
Once the trio was sent off, Ye Han complained, “Captain Dong, why do this?”
“Team Yin is the head captain, what
can I do? Besides, those three are from commercial aviation; they
shouldn’t even be here,” Dong
Buwen reasoned. Content belongs

The fighter pilots, including Dong Buwen, were somewhat intimidated by Team Yin, no one dared to contradict her.
Why?
Because her personal skills were just too strong to contest.
Back in Yuanchuan.
As a fighter helicopter appeared, Yin Xiangtian paused in bewilderment.
“Is that…?” Ads by PubFuture

After handing the victim to medical staff, Yin Xiangtian sprinted towards the landing site of the helicopter.
The winds howled around her, with relentless winter rain, bone-chillingly cold.
The ground was strewn with rubble, almost unbearable.
“Ethan!!”
The man was about to board the helicopter when a voice made him freeze for a moment…
He turned around.
Not far off, Yin Xiangtian, breathless from running, watched him over a pile of debris.
It was indeed him.
He had grown so tall.
Rushing over, Yin Xiangtian looked at him, “Where are you off to?”
Ethan’s gaze settled for half a minute before he replied hoarsely, “To find someone.”
“To the disaster area?”
“Yes.”
“You can’t go,” Yin Xiangtian pulled him back, “If you’re searching for someone, tell me, I’ll arrange for help.”
Ethan glanced at his sleeve she had grabbed and gently tugged it back.
Feeling his withdrawal, Yin Xiangtian’s lips twitched slightly.
William stood amidst the piercing cold, unsure of what to do.
Truth be told, he didn’t want President Grant to go either. Suddenly, someone shouted in surprise, “A plane is coming!” The people, thinking they were saved, cried tears of joy.
Regaining her composure, Yin Xiangtian waved vigorously at the slightly trailing jets, signaling them to land nearby.Contents belong to NovelDrama.Org
The helicopters’ rotors whipped the cold air into a frenzy.
When the three jets landed and the pilots disembarked, Ethan immediately spotted Madison, her face smeared with blood.
His pupils dilated, and he ran towards her.
Madison was about to squat to take a breather when someone yanked her up.
She looked up.
Faced with the man’s roaring inquiry, “Who let you go to the disaster area? Did I agree?”
His voice was especially loud.
It startled both Charlie and Henry nearby.
Approaching closer, Yin Xiangtian
watched him gripping the w
arm, his emotions turbulent with
concern, and her own hand
clenched.
Madison, worn out, weakly shook her head, “I’m alright.”
“Where’s the blood on your face from?” Ethan seemed slightly out of control, cradling her head, checking her all over.
