Chapter 0136
Shi Hua’s eyes flashed with anger.
Madison’s gaze was icy, “If you don’t want to fly, you can leave. I can fly. Mukino International won’t collapse without you. Do you think. you’re above everyone else just because you came back from abroad?
She stood up, snatched the work deployment file from Shi Hua’s grasp, and tossed it back to Frank, “Manager Xiao, take this, please. Assign me to her flights. Charlie can take over my current routes she’s very capable.”
Shi Hua shot up, crying out, “No! Who said I’m not flying?”
Madison cast a languid glance at her, her tone nonchalant, “Oh, so now you’ve changed your mind about flying? Captain Shi’s ability to self-regulate is indeed impressive. I have much to learn from my junior.”
Junior…
Shi Hua’s mouth twitched in fury.
They were barely a year apart in age, and here Madison was, calling herself the junior? Was this not a blatant dig at Shi Hua looking older?
Out of the corner of his eye, Frank nearly applauded Madison,
President Grant’s girlfriend.
“Cough…” Frank struggled to contain his laughter.
Shi Hua took a few deep breaths and scoffed, “Ethan must be quite busy if this is the quality of staff he has in his company.”
That was a declaration of war.

Frank had little experience with the overt and covert battles between women. After all, female pilots were a rarity at Mukino Airlines. Now, all he could do was watch from the sidelines.
He silently slid his chair backward, distancing himself from the battlefield.
Madison shed her usual gentleness, her voice growing colder, “You lived abroad for so many years, didn’t you learn to speak directly like the foreigners do?”
Shi Hua looked puzzled, “What do you mean?”
“I mean you’re beating around the bush.” Madison’s gaze didn’t falter, Just speak your mind. Why bring Ethan into this? Are you trying to highlight your close relationship with him?”
Frank was on the verge of cheering!
Madison, once unleashed, was quite the verbal warrior, leaving Shi Hua, who typically looked so composed, flushed with embarrassment.
Before Shi Hua could retort, Madison leaned casually against the chair, speaking first, “Just a heads-up, Captain Shi. Both sentimentally and logically, it’s inappropriate for you to call him Ethan.
Sentimentally, because you’re not that close, and logically…”
Madison walked past her, glancing sideways, “because I don’t want to
hear it.”
She reached the office door and without looking back said, “Manager Xiao, if you could adjust my routes for tomorrow, I’m ready to fly.”
“Of course, no problem!” Frank quickly agreed.
After Madison left, only Frank and Shi Hua remained. Shí Hua stood, her face an indescribable shade of displeasure.
Frank dared not speak out of turn, merely asking, “Captain Shi,

regarding your routes…”
“Follow the company’s arrangement,” Shi Hua said tersely, storming
out.
Frank exhaled a sigh of relief.
The tension was palpable.
Who could have guessed that these two glorious women would clash on their very first day as colleagues?
Deciding the room needed airing out, Frank opened a window.
“Manager Xiao, what’s wrong?” A young assistant entered, finding Frank at the window, sighing between puffs of his cigarette.
Frank, seizing the chance to vent, beckoned the assistant over.
“You don’t understand. I thought handling Charlie was tough, but I was naive. Now with two more ancestors added to the mix, my days
ahead…”
Frank wiped away an imaginary tear, thinking if not for the excessive compensation from President Grant he would have fled by now!
Returning to her new office, Madison surveyed her surroundings. Good or bad, she didn’t mind much. She was here to fly planes, not to cozy up in an office.
She had to wait for Frank to arrange her flight crew and for the civil aviation authority to sign off on the paperwork.
Standing by the window, Madison gazed at the towering building not far away.
Its top bore bold letters:
Mukino International Headquarters.

Every plane taking off and landing here could see it.
Her eyes curved in a smile as she was about to take a closer look at the building, her phone rang. It was Ethan.
“Hello?”
“Girlfriend, what are you up to?”
The man on the other end must have a cigarette between his lips, his voice tinged with the warmth of infatuation.
A soft blush crept onto Madison’s face, “I’ve just sparred a round with. a certain admirer of President Grant. Now I’m in the office.”
“In the office?” Ethan asked. “Which one?”
Madison recalled the plaque she saw on her way in, “Number eight.
There was a brief pause on the other end before Ethan changed the, subject, “You mentioned an admirer?”
“Captain Shi,” Madison replied calmly.
Ethan’s tone shifted slightly, “Did she quarrel with you?”
“No quarrel to speak of.”
“Why don’t you bring Amelia along? She’s quite the fighter. It’d save you from losing a war of words due to your slow speech,” Ethan suggested.
It was protective Grant, online and worried his girlfriend might lose in
a verbal altercation.
Madison laughed, “Where’s my speech slow?”
“Soft-spoken as you are, who could you out-argue?”
“I just won, didn’t I?”.

“Really?” Ethan sounded incredulous.
“Ask Manager Xiao,” Madison said, pointing her chin in the direction
of the office.
“Fine, I’ll go ask him now.”
Ethan hung up promptly.
Madison stared at the ended call, bemused.
He wouldn’t actually go ask, would he?
Of course, the childlike President Grant did inquire, and Frank provided a detailed account, nearly imitating Madison’s tone from the
confrontation.
When Ethan in his office heard how Madison didn’t want Shi Hual
calling him Ethan, a charming smile graced his face.
“Understood.”
Buzz.
Five minutes later, Madison received a W******p message from Ethan.
Ethan: Look towards the second window from the top of Mukino
International.
She approached the window, spotting the second window from the top instantly.
A white patch appeared on the glass.
Madison frowned.
Even with her sharp vision, she couldn’t make out what was on the glass from this distance.
She fetched the binoculars from the office cabinet, used for viewing.

Adjusting the lens, she aimed at the top floor of the high-rise.
Seconds later.
Madison’s smile was almost too wide to contain:
From the second window on the top floor to several windows behind, each had an A4 sheet of paper attached with black marker writing.
Only.
You.
Can.
Call.
Me.
Ethan.
Thank goodness for the many windows in the chairman’s office; otherwise, they wouldn’t all fit.
Her cheeks flushed, Madison dialed Ethan.
As soon as he answered, she couldn’t help but laugh, “Ethan, do your have to be so childish?”
His laughter came through the phone, light and teasing, “There’s more
childishness to come.”
“Hmm?”
“I posted on F******K.”
Madison’s voice was a mix of exasperation and affection, “What did you do now?”
His tone was pleasant, “Dear, President Grant is on your side. I won’t let her call me Ethan, only you can. Is that okay?”
