Chapter 36

“No, this is not too much at all. I love doing this. I want to do more, but the people in your pack didn’t allow me.” Cielle snuggled closer against S**s’s arms. She could feel that her health deteriorated very fast, but she didn’t want to make Silas become even more worried than he already had.

“I will be angry if they tired you out.”

Cielle lifted her head and pursed her lips at him. “Don’t say something like that, they are all trying to help me. I will be mad to you if you scolded them.”

Silas sighed deeply. “You will be the death of me.”

“I don’t want that too. I want you live a happy life.”

“Yes, I will have it as long as I am with you.

With that statement, Cielle didn’t say anything, she snuggled even closer against his chest. She wanted her sensed back, so she could breathe in his scent, but she couldn’t… her ability to sense the scent had become so worse, she couldn’t even smell her food anymore.

Yet, Cielle didn’t say anything about it either. She was counting her time.

“What did you talk to my father?” Cielle finally asked about this.

Silas didn’t have any intention to bring this topic up until Cielle mentioned it herself. “He only wanted to see you. He didn’t really say why.

Cielle nodded. She fell silent and this made Silas wondered whether he had done the right thing.

“Do you want to see him?” He guessed, but he could feel she shook her head.

“No. I don’t want to see him. I don’t think I want to see him…” Cielle was not s**id, she knew that her father hoped for a son, but instead he got a daughter. She knew that, therefore, growing up, her father was always on the background.

It seemed, Cielle tired to see the disappointed look in his eyes and she didn’t want to see that again.

“Okay.”

“But, I want to see my mother,” Cielle said.

“I will arrange that.” Silas would try to fulfill whatever wish that she wanted.

The next day, Silas made a call to Maia, he informed her about what Cielle wanted and asked whether she could come. “Sure, I will come, I will definitely come.”

Only you, Maia, Adrian is not welcomed in my pack”

There was a long pause after Silas said that, because he knew Adrian pretty well and he was sure that the alpha wouldn’t be happy to know that his mate would travel alone without him. He wouldn’t be pleased to know that their daughter only wanted to see her mother alone.

“I-I will let you know later,” Maia replied, she sounded unsure about it.

Chapter 36

“Okay.” But, that was not Si**a**s problem. Whatever her answer was, he would let Cielle knew about it and decided whether she really wanted to meet with her mother or not.

In the case Cielle really wanted to see her mother, Silas would make a new arrangement and deal with Adrian.

But thankfully, two days later Maia called him again and said that she wanted to come, but he needed him to give her a ride. since Adrian didn’t want to drive her to Silas pack.

Silas almost laughed when he heard that, but he managed to hold himself back from bursting into a fit of laughter.

This was typical of Adrian. The last time, he didn’t want Silas to use his car to reach the border when he went to his pack and fetch Cielle and now, he used the same method again. He really needed to find a way to be more creative with his thinking.

“I will send you a car.

“Thank you, Silas.” Maia sounded like she wanted to cry, but Silas remained unfazed and when he was about to cut the call. Maia called him again. “I am so glad that Cielle is with you. I am sorry for what happened, but now I can see that she is very happy with you. You treat her really well.”

Silas lowered his gaze to conceal the emotion in his eyes, though there was no one there to see. “I hope she is really happy.”

And with that, before the sun set, Maia arrived at Silas pack and she went to see her daughter, tears flooded in their eyes when they saw each other and Maia apologized profusely for what she had done.

It was not hard to guess, who had asked her to do that. It was very obvious that Adrian, who had planned it.

“I am sorry, Cielle. I am truly sorry.”

“It’s okay, mother. I know… I know…” Cielle looked tired and sleepy, but also happy to see her mother again.

And that night Maia slept together with her daughter, they talked about a lot of things and discussed the topic about the baby.

It also revealed that Adrian was the one, who didn’t allow Maia to exchange letter with Cielle anymore.

“Would your father be angry when you returned?” Cielle asked, she was worried her for her mother.”

“You don’t need to worry about that, you only need to think about your happiness. That’s all that matter right now.” Maia kissed Cielle’s forehead and then hugged her very tightly. “I will be here for your ceremony.”

Cielle contemplated for a while. “Should I invite father too?”

“If you didn’t feel like having him there, you don’t need to invite him.” Maia smiled at her daughter. “The only thing that your father could do to me is giving a cold shoulder, I can manage that.”

Cielle smiled and then she fell asleep. She had a good dream and felt very happy to sleep with her mother again, just like when she was little and had a nightmare.

Her father would tell her to grow up and not to cry whenever Cielle looked for him.

And with that, five days from the day Maia arrived at the pack, it was the ceremony.
