Chapter 131
After taking a few days off without much else to do, Lenore decided to modify the car. She could take it for a spin later.
The next day, after breakfast, the group went back to the club. Josiah planned to visit but was held back by a lot of work at the office
After yesterday’s events, when people at the clubs saw Lenore today, they fell silent and whispered behind her back.
The man who liked Cillian watched her from the crowd, his gaze as cold as a snake’s
Lenore selected two race cars, her refined face full of boldness and freedom. “I can modify two cars for you guys to have fun. Her confidence and arrogance were apparent.
Wayne approached with a friendly smile. “Sweetheart, could you modify another bike for me?”
Lenore glanced at him, took a wrench from the toolbox, tossed it a couple of times, and lazily leaned against the white race car with a mischievous
smule. Sure, but
“Name your price!” Wayne quickly added, guessing what she was going to say
Lenore raised an eyebrow and said. “For an old friend, I’ll give you a 30% discount–30 million.”
To Wayne, 30 million wasn’t much at all. After all, any car in his garage was a limited edition supercar worth over 100 million
He fluttered his charming eyes, radiating wealth. “I’ll give
give you 60 million
Lenore thought. Being rich is great She clicked her tongue in admiration and began examining the car beneath her
Silas stood next to them, checking his phone.
Class 24, typically seen as the class of slackers, had unexpectedly transformed into a hub of academic activity. Even other teachers noticed the enthusiasm and chose to overlook it, allowing the students to use the morning and evening study periods for self–study.
Jonas updated the parents in the group chat about the students‘ progress every day. You could almost feel the excitement through the screen.
Jonas also sent private messages to ask about Lenore’s academic progress.
They spent the whole morning at the garage. Lenore was busy modifying the car while Silas helped by handing her tools and parts. For the more strenuous work, like getting underneath the car, they asked Chuck to take care of it.
Chuck felt that since Silas got to know Ms. Smedley, his status had been dropping. Now, he was always on edge, worried about being replaced one day.
After all, compared to staying with Victor and Claude, being by Silas’s side was still preferable.
After lunch, Silas received a phone call. His brows furrowed, and his whole demeanor became intense. His voice was low and serious. “When did he get the authority to decide things for me!”
He was as cold as if he had just come out from an ice cellar. After ending the call, he stood there with a gloomy expression for quite some time.
Wayne walked over, his almond–shaped eyes narrowing. “Is it your dad again!” The only person who could make Silas act and speak this way was his father. Quillan.
Recently, the Faulkner family had been discussing a marriage alliance. Silas was the only male in his generation. He’s hard to find, and although no one’s seen him take action, everyone feared him..
Even in the Faulkner family, things were not peaceful. Everyone was uneasy about Layton’s potential decision to pass leadership to Silas, and none of the other branches would simply stand by.
And all the schemes unfolding, Quillan, always prioritizing interests, was attempting to arrange a marriage between Salas and the Larson Family from Yalasburg
Silas’s gaze sended on Lepore, who was busy nearby. His eyes were intimidating. “If he wants to decide my marriage, he better be capable of it.”
This relationship with Quillan was strained; there wasn’t much affection between them. This was a private matter, so despite Wayne’s carefree nature, he wisildn’t disclose much about Silas’s family issues.
Two days later, two racing cars that had been upgraded with old parts were freally completed. Josiah finally finished his tasks and joined to watch
the excitement..

Chapter 131
Wayne drove a couple of taps right there. After finishing, he looked at Lenore with admiration and a bit of jealousy.
Feeling insanely jealous, he exclaimed. Lenore, how did you get so smart! You’re so young, yet you drive like a pro and modify cars expertly This car provided a more thrilling drive than any he’d experienced before.
Lenore shot him a sidelong glance, let down her rolled–up sleeves nonchalantly, and said, “Maybe it’s just talent.”
Wayne was speechless. The tone was clearly self–absorbed, yet he couldn’t shake the feeling that he was being called dumb.
