Chapter 153: Gemma Takes It Out on Mr. Cassius, Totally Fierce
“My mother.”
Cassius’s anger was like a wild, bloodthirsty beast.
“Before she even gave birth, she signed the divorce papers and used her privilege to divorce you straight away.”
He turned his cold, dark eyes toward his biological father, as if looking at a lifeless object.
“Heh, you want your good son to inherit the family business?”
“Whose business do you think you’re inheriting?”
Shawn chimed in smoothly.
“Of course, it’s the ex–wife’s,” he continued. “After all, the divorce was kept secret, barely anyone knows about it. W
“Can’t deny it–people who have no shame are unbeatable.”
His words made everyone laugh.
But Gemma wasn’t laughing.
Cassius had such a tragic past.
Derick, visibly agitated, raised his voice.
“This isn’t my fault!”
“It’s her paranoia, her own incompetence. She couldn’t even give birth properly!”
“And you!”
He jabbed a shaking finger at Cassius.
“You brought the bad luck! You killed your mother before you were even born!”
“It’s all your fault! You’re the one who killed her!”
Cassius’s aura froze even colder.
Like a hellish ice pit.
Gemma’s gaze hardened, and she shook her wrist.
Her medical kit dropped into her hand, filled with surgical knives.
She tossed them with precision.
Too bad, she wasn’t a martial arts master, so the blades didn’t land perfectly.
But-
They were covered with something.
With a bite of her lip, she opened the kit, grabbed a handful, and hurled them at Derick.
“Filthy mouth!”
“Shithole!”
‘Asshole!”
“You scumbag!”
She had so many blades, it took several rounds before she stopped.
Kaspar tried to shield Derick, but when he saw the blades were thin and not very dangerous, he didn’t move as much.
A few grazed their skin.
Derick, seeing the blades stop flying, sneered and mocked her.
“You little batch, is this all you’ve got? Kids‘ games?”
It was like a country child throwing dirt clods at each other.
Of course, she’d come from a remote mountain village-
Her every move was crude.
“Hah, I was going to let you live stream this, but you slipped away. Don’t think I’ll let you off this time!”
Gemma’s eyes narrowed.
“Oh What a coincidence. I don’t plan to let you off eithert
Derick was about to taunt her back when he suddenly felt wrong
His body didn’t obey, and he collapsed to hús knees

Before he could even ask what was going on, he found himself bowing, again and again, on the hard, asphalt ground.
The ground was paved with thick, hard asphalt.
After a few knocks, blood started to seep from his forehead.
The others, still confused, dropped to their knees too, the sound of heads hitting the ground echoing.
The pain was sharp, and soon, pained cries filled the air.
Derick, first to kneel, had his forehead a bloody mess.
Shawn, shocked.
“Gem, what the hell did you use? Tell me, please, I
need it!”
He’d thought Gemma had lost her temper and was just venting for Cassius.
He didn’t realize she’d planned this all along.
This was wild.
Gemma was grinding her teeth, still seething.
“They want to apologize to Aunt Evan. Who’s gonna stop them?”
Shawn immediately got it, laughing loudly.
He shot a look at Cassius.
-Look how much she cares about you!
Cassius stayed stone–faced.
But Shawn noticed something else–he saw something almost… indulgent in his expression.
And…
Is that affection?
Am I seeing things?
He watched Cassius for a moment.
Derick was almost knocked out, and Cassius’s expression had softened just a little. He finally spoke.
“Tell them to stop. We still have business to settle with him.”
Gemma’s lips pressed together, clearly reluctant.
Derick’s words had been infuriating.
She turned to face the group still bowing.
“You get it now?”
Kaspar, dizzy and seeing stars, immediately begged, “I get it! I’m sorry!”
Derick, humiliated, tried to resist, but his pride crumbled under pressure.
But he had no choice but to give in.
‘I get it, too!”
Gemma huffed, “Apologize!”
Derick felt even more humiliated.
A village girl from a mountain village that he looked down on was actually bossing him around!
What’s even more infuriating is that he hasn’t actually had a way to refute it!
He was about to have a heart attack.
Kaspar tugged at his shirt.
Life comes first!
Derick gave in. Fine Tm sorry.”
Gemyna’tone was unpleasant.
‘Not to me. To Aunt Evan!”
Derick stunned.
But still, he couldn’t control the kowtowing
If das went on, be really might not survive.
“Sorry, Evan I shouldn’t have said that about you.”
“I betrayed you. I owe you. I’m so sorry.”
He almost shouted the last part, and, curiously, once he finished, he seemed to return to normal–though covered in blood, it was a shocking sight.

Saying it out loud seemed to have done something to him.
Just… a bloody mess.
Gemma was about to say something else when a warm hand suddenly gripped hers, firmly.
Cassius had taken her hand, his fingers wrapped around hers tightly.
She froze, looking up.
Cassius met her gaze.
“Still mad?”
Gemma nodded.
She wanted to slap Derick so badly.
This old man had betrayed Aunt Evan, let the mistress take the family’s wealth, and tortured the first son.
Every single one of those crimes deserved to be punished in the worst way.
“Then… let’s do it together.”
Cassius let go of her hand and patted her shoulder gently.
“Don’t get your hands dirty.”
Gemma was stunned.
Did he just stop her from hitting Derick because he knew she wanted to
“I…”
“Just watch the show.”
Cassius’s lips curled up, his voice surprisingly gentle.
Gemma’s words caught in her throat, and she instinctively nodded.
Cassius turned to Gavin, who had been waiting for his moment.
slap him herself?
“You helped him with the company assets, right? Go ahead, tell him what’s what.”
Gavin Volk finally had a chance to redeem himself.
He immediately jumped in, excited.
“Ms. Evangeline had 60% of the company’s shares, all her pre–marital assets, which, after the divorce, should be inherited by Mr. Cassius!”
“I also found out about her real estate and investment holdings…”
He went on for nearly half an hour, listing out everything Evangeline had owned.
And this was just the pre–marital portion.
The post–marriage shares and other assets from the Raven family group still had to be divided.
Gemma quickly did the math in her head.
If everything was settled, Derick would end up broke!
