Chapter 151: Gemma Taken Away by Mr. Cassius, Raven Family’s Drama Unfolds
Gemma tilted her head.
The man’s profile was flawless-
Sharp, cool.
Like he didn’t even belong in the same world as the noisy crowd around them.
He was… otherworldly.
But even with that detached demeanor, she could see the storm brewing behind his deep–set eyes.
He was angry.
Even though everything was under control, he was still furious.
“Alright.”
She whispered, agreeing softly.
Brian had already rushed over to clear the crowd.
He hadn’t expected the little celebration to turn into this. The whole thing had been ruined.
Now, he had to deal with the mess for the Raven family.
The confession he’d planned for Gemma? Not happening now.
It was all falling apart, and he was losing it.
Meanwhile, Marcus was stuck with Mabel and hadn’t come upstairs.
He was planning to drop her off first.
After all, Gemma wasn’t seriously ill, and there’d be plenty of chances to see her.
Today wasn’t the right time for a reconciliation anyway.
With the crowd scattered, everyone started leaving.
Brian looked up from his tasks only to realize Gemma was nowhere in sight.
He rubbed his forehead, defeated.

Looks like he’d have to hand over the company matters to a real manager–otherwise, he was going to lose track of chasing after Gemma.
Gemma hadn’t expected Cassius to take her back to the estate after his “watching the show” comment.
“They’re not seriously coming to the door, are they?”
It wasn’t until then that she realized Noah hadn’t come with them.
Cassius probably didn’t want to scare the kid.
Shawn was already waiting at the estate entrance. As soon as he saw them pull up, he snapped his fingers.
“How’s my setup today? Was it a hit or what?”
He confidently flicked a strand of hair from his forehead. “Gem, you see any potential for me as a director?”
Gemma raised an eyebrow. “Eh, it was… okay. A little too much, though. You’ve got so many talents, don’t waste ‘em on that.”
Shawn, curious since he hadn’t seen the scene, asked, “Gem, what was so bad about it?
Don’t tell me you’re doubting my taste!”
Gemma sighed.
‘I might need some eye drops.”
Why?
Shawn was about to ask for more details when several cars came speeding toward them.
They slammed on the brakes just in time, nearly crashing.
The doors flew open, and the driver nervously rushed to the backseat, helping Derick out.
He slammed his cane on the ground with a thud.
The people from the other cars quickly gathered behind him.
They were ready for a showdown.
Cassius’s cold gaze showed no emotion. He simply waved his hand.

Brooke stepped forward with his team of bodyguards, blocking Derick and preventing anyone from getting close.
Derick’s blood pressure was through the roof-
He was about to explode.
Fuming, he pointed at Gemma. “Give her to me, and you can still be the future heir of the Raven family!”
Cassius’s voice was icy. “Not happening.”
The tension was thick.
The air practically crackled with hostility.
“I’m your father!” Derick spat, his body shaking with fury.
Cassius calmly responded, “Yes, and that’s my shame.”
Derick’s face turned a sickly green–like something pickled for years.
“Fine, so you’re really willing to throw everything away for a woman?”
Cassius shot back, “Wasn’t that obvious?”
Derick’s teeth ground together as he pulled out a silver–haired man in a blue suit from the crowd.
“This man should look familiar. Gavin Volk–the top accountant in the world. He’s figured out every penny you’ve spent at the company, and what you’ve been doing wrong.”
“Keep this up, and it won’t just be getting kicked out of the company–you’ll be facing jail time!”
“No, prison time for the rest of your life!”
Derick finished with a venomous hiss, his veins bulging.
Gemma’s heart skipped a beat.
She hadn’t expected Derick to go this far.
Clearly, there was no fatherly love left for Cassius.
She thought about it.
Maybe she should just go with Derick. She had some meds on her, so she could take care of herself.
No reason to drag Cassius down with her.
But then…
Cassius seemed to know exactly what she was thinking. He reached out and grabbed her wrist.
His palm was warm, and the roughness of his hand sent sparks through her skin.
“Watch the show.”
Gemma blinked.
Alright. If her patient needed to keep his spirits up, she guessed she’d just go along with it.
Shawn burst out laughing. “Weird, right? The Read family’s victory celebration was such a hit, but you guys are all in such a rush to leave.”
Derick’s face turned even greener. “Shut up!”
Shawn just laughed louder.
“I know a great proctologist, should I introduce you?”
Derick, now losing his patience, snapped, “Mr. Volk, show them the evidence! Let them see the consequences!”
Gavin Volk, who had been lost in thought, was suddenly brought into the conversation.
But his eyes never left Cassius. He frowned, thinking hard, before stepping forward.
‘Mr. Cassius… have we met before? Abroad?”
Shawn pulled out his phone, dialing a number.
Gavin’s phone rang.
He froze, staring at the screen in disbelief.
It was the ringtone he had set for his savior–the person he’d dreamed of hearing from for years.
He couldn’t believe it.
Forgetting all about Derick’s demands, he turned to answer the phone.
On the other end of the line, the voice was impatient.
“Turn over!”
Gavin, still dazed, turned around. That’s when he saw Shawn waving his phone.
See it?”

Gavin’s face contorted in shock.
His mind raced, realizing the connection between Shawn, Cassius, and the call.
Immediately, he figured it out.
He staggered, clutching his chest.
Before he could speak, he collapsed.
Panic spread among his team, and they scrambled to catch him.
Shawn grinned like a cat that caught a mouse. “Mr. Raven, seriously? I didn’t even say anything, and he fainted!”
Derick was too stunned to respond.
This was his top team, his trump card.
He’d planned to wait until William was better, but the situation had gotten out of hand. Now he had to use Gavin to pressure Cassius.
But if William’s scandal got out, Cassius would find a way to return to the company.
All his plans would be for nothing.
And William would lose his chance to take over.
But now…
Gavin slowly began to stir.
The first thing he did? Turn on the lighter, setting fire to the “evidence” he had against Cassius.
Derick’s face twisted with fury.
