Chapter 122: Give Me Your Hand
Gemma’s car pressed tightly against the man’s chest.
The air seemed to freeze for a momeist
The sounds of the crowd, the passing breeze, all vanished into silence.
Only the pounding of his heartbeat in her ear echoed loudly.
After a while, the man’s hand, which had been gently patting her back, paused for a second.
“Brooke, clean it up.”
“Yes”
She snapped back to reality.
Then, she pulled herself out of his embrace.
Panicked, she looked at the spot where the snake had just been.
The massive snake, nearly as thick as the man’s thigh, now hang its head, limp and noodle–like.
Brooke picked it up.
Step by step, she moved towards Derick.
The foul, nauseating smell from the snake’s body was overwhelming.
Even Derick, who had seen it all, looked pale in shock at the bloody scene.
Pamela, who had been feeling a bit snug, now trembled uncontrollably, retreating behind Derick.
William, with his head lowered, kept stepping back until he laid behind a tree.
But perhaps he was still unwilling to back down, as he kept glancing over at the scene with wary eyes.
The giant snake was tossed near Derick.
It knocked his came out of his hands.
His body shuddered, but sheer willpower kept him standing
He was about to shout
But the overpowering stench made him gag.
In an instant, his face turned ashen.
Brooke’s expression was beyond disgust he looked downright murderous, his whole demeanor icy and terrifying, as if he might kill someone at
any moment
Pamela, who had almost spoken up, recoiled, not daring to say a word.
Gemma finally reguned her composure.
It dawned on her that Cassius was surrounded by highly skilled people, so her worries had been unnecessary.
She had seen it.
William had deliberately given the suke the order to attack Cassius. He truly meant to ball him.
“You are a terrible father who spoiled your son”
She glared at Derick, whose finger trembled as he pointed at them.
“This is your fault”
Derick, who had been afraid of Cassius’s strength, was now farious.
“Are you really letting a woman cause trouble like this? 1f1 weren’t here, would you have killed your mother and brother?”
He huffed in anger, like a fish stranded on the shore, gasping for air.
Cassius’s face remained expressionless, but his aura turned dark and ominous
His eyes, deep and cold as a mountain lake, swirled with black mist, striking fear into everyone around him.
“My mother…
She only has one child.”
The meaning was crystal clear
This woman, who had climbed her way into the family, was not worthy of being his mother.
And a half–brother who wanted his life was no brother at all.
Chapter 192: Give Me Your Hand
He took a step forward.
The pressure was pverwhelming.
Pamela flinched and cried out, “Don’t take it out on the childi Fine, when Cass comes back. I’ll just leavel”
Derick, already Bauming, was further enraged by this.
“Cass, you dare to dely me! If you do, you can forget about those company sharest”
Campused for a moment
Seeing him stop. Derick thought he’d found Cassius’s weakness.
Truth be told, he’d long planned to hand the company over to his younger son
But if he did that directly, it would cause too much backlash.
So, he’d kept the power firmly with Cassius all these year.
If Cassius dared to defy him today, he could finally justify transferring everything to his younger son
Cassius’s pause left him slightly disappointed.
However, Derick was too smug to notice the storm of emotions bolling beneath Cassius’s calm exterior
Gemma quickly stepped forward and gently rugged on his sleeve
Don’t get worked up.
Don’t lose your temper.
Cassius’s dark expression slowly faded.
When he looked back at Derick, his gaze was cool and his demeanor calm.
“Brooke, go get the things.”
Brooke, though surprised, always followed order. Th
Pamela frore for a moment, then panicked.
“What are you going to do?”
Cassius ignored her.
The group quickly moved towards the villa.
Shawn, who had been quietly observing, suddenly stepped forward and whistled.
While everyone was still trying to figure out why Shawn had suddenly acted so carefree, a shrill scream pierced the air,
Turning toward the sound, they saw William sitting on the ground, clutching has leg in agony.
A snake’s head, the size of a fist, was firmly embedded in his calf.
Black blood oozed from the bite, dripping steadily.
“Mom, Dad, help met
With those words, be passed out.
Derick and Pamela panicked
This was their only sond
“Quick, call an ambulancel”
Derick ordered his servants.
Then, with a venomous glare, he turned to Cuis
“You better pray your brother is okay, or I’ll make you pay…”.
Before he could finish.
Brooke emerged from the villa, each person holding a lacquer box.
These boxes contained the jewelry and other valuables that had belonged to his ex–wife.
At the sight of thein, Derick’s expression shifted, and his voice faltered.
“What are you doing?”
Shawn, who had always disliked Derick, couldn’t hold back anymore. Though Cassius had been all about family. Shawn had kept his distance out of
respect.
Now that Cassius had finally made up his mind. Shawn was ready to have his say.
“Forgetful, are we? This is Gass’s mom’s family jewelry. He has full rights to manage it.”
Just as he finished speaking, the rumble of construction vehicles could be heard from outside.
It was clear they were coming to tear down the house!
Chapter 122: Give Me Your Hand
Derick’s eyes turned bloodshot with rage.
“You dare!!”
Shawn looked at him with a smug grin, “Of course I dare. If you don’t believe me, just stay and watch.”
He pointed at William, still writhing on the ground from the snakebite, with a grin that could only be described as sadistic.
“The ambulance is blocked outside, they can’t get in. If you don’t leave, someone may just lose a limb.”
Pamela, in a panic, quickly held Derick back before he could lash our
“William’s passed out!”
Derick forgot about his fury toward Cassius and hurriedly ordered the servants to carry William out, rushing towards the ambulance.
They had barely made it to the front of the ambulance when they heard a deafening crash.
The villa’s walls collapsed!
Derick whipped around, trembling with rage or fear–no one could sell.
He couldn’t catch his breath, his body swaying before he enllapsed, unconscious.
“Quick, take this old thing to the carl”
Pamela’s eyes darkened with malice.
She understood one thing today.
As long as Cassius had power, she and William would never have a name or a place.
Only if Cassius was dead would they finally claim the Raven family!
The scene was filled with dust and chaos.
Cassius, with Gemma by his side, clumbed back into the car, preparing to leave.
Once seated. Gemma reached out for his hand.
Cassius’s face showed a moment of surprise, but he landed her the lacquer box.
Gemina sighed.
“I need your hand, not your jewelry. Let une check it”
