Chapter 102: Mr. Cassius‘ Abs Are So Firm
He was very serious.
His handsome face looked unusually stern, as if he were dealing with a business partner he just secured.
Gemma, “…”
The ingredients list was as clean as it could get.
What was he so conflicted about?
“This one is fine, but don’t drink too much. One cup a day, or one every other day is okay.”
“You can also switch to pure milk if needed.”
Cassius nodded slightly. “Thank you.”
He really looked like he was just running around for his nephew.
After a pause, he seemed to realize they were still at the Read Group.
“Since we’ve run into each other, I’ll take you back to the hospital.”
Gemma had planned to say that Brian had arranged a car.
But Noah was already dragging her to the car door, so she had no choice but to get in first and text Brian to explain.
“Gemma, do you think Uncle Cassius sometimes act weird?”
Sitting in the car, Noah cupped his cheeks with his hands, his chubby face squishing and puffing, looking adorable.
Gemma didn’t dare answer, clearing her throat and pretending she hadn’t heard.
“Gemma, why is Uncle Cassius like this?”
His little face was full of big confusion.
How could she answer this?
But the little guy was determined to figure it out.
After a long pause, he suddenly brightened up.
“I know! It’s because there is no Aunt around to manage him!”
What???
She didn’t say that!
Noah glanced from Uncle Cassius on his left.
Then he switched to Gemma on his right.
“Hehe, Gemma.”
He winked, trying to charm her.
Gemma poked his chubby little cheek. “Say it.”
“Grandmother said, since you’re divorced, you can marry Uncle Cassius now.”
That single sentence set Gemma’s face on fire, like a rose just about to bloom.
“Uncle Cassius is so great.”
Noah couldn’t help but act like a little salesperson, enthusiastically promoting his uncle.
“He’s such a sweet guy.”
“His abs are really hard and warm when you touch them…”
Before he could finish, Cassius grabbed him by the back of his neck.
“Ahhh! Uncle Cassius, what are you doing!”
“Who taught you this?”
Cassius was strict with his education. Every teacher was carefully selected.
But it seemed like there was still a problem.
Noah shrank his neck.
“Did I say something wrong?”
Cassius‘ face hardened. “I’ll ask you again–who taught you all this?”
Noah got scared and confessed honestly, “Uncle Shawn! He told me I had to promote Uncle Cassius to get an Aunt.”
Now, Cassius didn’t just have hard abs; he had hard fists now!

Then Noah received a lesson in love.
The world was in peace again.
Gemma had never seen such a lively side of Cassius.
Turns out, even someone as aloof as him could lose his cool when it came to disciplining a child.
She felt like…
She and Cassius were much closer now.
Cassius finished handling Noah, straightened his clothes, and turned to find Gemma watching him with a quiet smile.
When she smiled, the world seemed to blur around them.
It felt like everything else faded away, and it was just her.
“Dr. Kelestine, don’t spoil him so much next time.”
He shook Noah’s shoulder again.
Noah started crying.
What did he do wrong?
It was all Uncle Shawn’s idea. He just wanted Aunt Cassius to show up sooner. He was a kid! What bad intentions could he have?
Gemma gently pulled him into her arms and patted his back.
Wow!
She smelled so good, and her touch was so gentle.
Noah felt so happy.
“He’s still young. Just correct him when needed. Don’t be too strict, or he might start rebelling.”
She was subtly pleading on Noah’s behalf.
Cassius nodded, “Okay, I’ll listen to you.”
He looked so obedient, it made Gemma’s cheeks warm.
Her heart skipped a beat.
She instinctively placed her hand on her chest.
Lately, she’d been feeling like her heart wasn’t quite right. Should she see a cardiologist?
Before she could spiral into more thoughts, her phone rang. Cali’s name appeared on the screen.
“Car accident? Which hospital?”
Her heart lurched.
“What about the driver?”
“Got it, I’ll be there soon.”
She hung up and looked urgently at Cassius. “Can we go to Oak Tree Hospital first?”
Cassius ordered the driver to turn. “Your friend had an accident?”
Gemma thought for a moment, then decided to be honest. “Yes, she’s fine, but she sprained her ankle. I need to check on her.”
Noah immediately seized the opportunity to escape Uncle Cassius‘ grip.
“Gemma, I want to go with you!”
Gemma was going to say it wasn’t suitable for a child, but Cassius beat her to it.
“Then let’s go together.”
Gemma, “???”
Noah, “???”
At the hospital.
Cali was sitting on the bench, carefully icing her swollen ankle. Her face was pale, her lips quivering, and her eyes burned with anger.
Across from her stood Yvonne, the driver responsible for the accident.
“You’re fine. Isn’t 10,000 enough to compensate? Why can’t you just let it go?”
Standing beside Yvonne was Keagan, the passenger at the time. He looked just as impatient.
“We don’t have time for this. If you think 10,000 isn’t enough, then we can give you 20,000.”
Cali gritted her teeth
“You wrecked my laptop! Do you know that the design drafts on it are worth millions?”

Yvonne burst out laughing.
She had already seen Gemma suddenly turn into a genius earlier, but now some random poor girl on an e–bike was claiming her design was worth
millions.
There were always strange things happening, but this year… even more than usual.
“Never seen someone like you trying to scam for money with such stupid reason.”
She turned to Keagan.
“Our client is waiting for me. Let’s not waste time.”
They had avoided calling the police hoping for a private settlement.
They didn’t expect Cali to be so stubborn.
Cali was so furious she wanted to slap her.
“You were driving against traffic! My e–bike was fully legal and in perfect condition. You’re fully at fault!”
She’d worked all night for her client Susie’s birthday design, and now it was destroyed.
How could she not be upset?
“Fine. Since you’re so stubborn, let’s bring in lawyers. The lawyer will coordinate with the police. We’ll deal with the client first.”
Keagan didn’t want to waste any more time and tried to pull Yvonne away.
“No, you can’t leave! You have to fix my laptop!”
Yvonne snapped. “Your laptop’s totaled. How can it be fixed? Stop dreaming!”
She stepped forward and lowered her voice.
“You’re just a piece of poor shit. You want justice? In your fucking dream! Oh, I should’ve just hit you. That way you’d learn how to be quiet, bitch!”
“Slap!”
Cali didn’t hold back, delivering a sharp slap across her face.
