Cathy’s breathing was heavy as she barely held back her emotions. “Call her back and have her make a cup of coffee for Mr. Coleman.”
“What?” Sarah was stunned, then quickly grew indignant. “Why her?”
Cathy thought, ‘Exactly, why her? The secretarial department has one chief secretary and six regular secretaries, and I personally take care of everything for Mr. Coleman. Even the other secretaries, who have been there much longer, never have the chance to make coffee for him. So why should Alyssa, who just started, get this privilege?‘

do as you’re told! Why so many questions?” Cathy snapped, her frustration boiling over.
Seeing Cathy lose her temper, Sarah bit back her words and made the call to the design department.
Soon, Alyssa returned to the secretarial office. Sarah, clearly unhappy, said curtly, “Make a cup of coffee for Mr. Coleman and bring it in.”

Alyssa pointed at herself in disbelief. “Me?”
Sarah’s irritation flared even more. “Yes, you! Don’t act so smug.”
Alyssa couldn’t help but smirk slightly. She thought, ‘Smug? Which part of me looks smug? I don’t even want to do it! If someone is so eager to take on the role of serving coffee, they are welcome to it.‘
“Hurry up. If Mr. Coleman gets annoyed, you can forget about keeping this job,” Sarah snapped, giving her a sharp look filled with resentment.
She still couldn’t understand, thinking, ‘Why, after all the time I have been there, I never get the chance to make coffee for Mr. Coleman, but Alyssa, a newcomer, is given the honor? And she will even get to meet with him alone when delivering the coffee.

The more she thought about it, the angrier she got. As she passed Alyssa, she intentionally gave her a hard shove.
But Alyssa was quick. Seeing it coming, she smoothly sidestepped, causing Sarah to nearly stumble herself.
Sarah gritted her teeth and glared. “After you’re done with the coffee, go back to the design department and keep pushing for that draft.”
With that, she stormed off in her high heels.
Alyssa glanced over at Andrew’s office. Although this was her first time working as a secretary, it wasn’t her first job, and she certainly wasn’t naive. She knew she needed to figure out Andrew’s preferences first.
She thought, ‘Should I ask Cathy? But Cathy will probably be no help. It seems better to ask Simon directly.
Simon’s office was also on the 37th floor, across a large open area from Andrew’s office.
As Alyssa entered Simon’s office, she was caught off guard to find Andrew already there. She hesitated, suddenly unsure how to proceed.
Simon noticed her hesitation and asked, “Ms. Dawson, is there something you need?”
Alyssa pursed her lips, glancing at Andrew. She thought, ‘Is it really appropriate to ask about his preferences right in front of him? But since I am already here, I can’t just back out. What am I supposed to say now?‘
Andrew, noticing her conflicted expression, let out a cold chuckle. “Ms. Dawson, do you have something to discuss with Mr.
