Chapter 67
“You should head out soon, Ms. Carlson. I’m going to see if I can get off early today,” Simon said as he quickly walked to Andrew’s office and knocked on the door.
Without looking up, Andrew said, “Come in.”
Simon entered and sat casually across from Andrew, acting more like a friend than a subordinate. “Mr. Coleman, are you working late again tonight?”
Andrew instinctively glanced outside. Everyone in the secretarial department had already left and Alyssa was also gone. He wondered if she had left early on her own.
Andrew snorted inwardly. Alyssa was always eager to end work on time. She had been very diligent when she used to work for Rivorn Clothing. Now, she seemed to be slacking off.
Andrew had glanced outside several times in the afternoon and hadn’t seen Alyssa. He didn’t know where she had gone to slack off again. He would ask her about it at home and make it clear that he could fire her if she didn’t want to work at Coleman Fashion.
Andrew replied, “I’m not working late.”
Simon was surprised. “You’re leaving on time? Seriously?”

“Oh Looks like you want to work late?” Andrew raised an eyebrow. “Here you go. You can deal with these.” He handed a stack of documents to Simon and then stood. “I’m heading out.”
“Hold up, Mr. Coleman. You can’t do this. You’re the CEO. These documents need your approval. I’m just an assistant,” Simon protested loudly from behind, sounding pitiful.
Andrew didn’t even bother to glance at Simon. He said, “But you’re not just any assistant.” With that, he swiped his card and entered the elevator.
Simon rubbed his temple in frustration. “How am I different? I’m human too.” He sighed helplessly but had no choice. As Andrew’s subordinate and friend, he had to deal with the paperwork.

Seeing Andrew leave, Cathy quickly grabbed her bag and rushed out as well. Just as the elevator doors were about to close, she called out, “Please hold the elevator.”
Andrew pressed the button to reopen the doors. Cathy smiled, “Thanks, Mr. Coleman. The employee elevator is already out of service, so I thought I’d catch a ride with you.”
Andrew replied coolly, “Sure.”
Most people wouldn’t dare try to catch a ride in Andrew’s elevator, but Cathy was probably the only one in the company who could apart from Simon. She smiled slightly, feeling pleased.
As Cathy looked at their reflections on the elevator wall, her heart began to race. She wanted to talk to Andrew but couldn’t think of anything to say. Andrew, on the other hand, didn’t seem interested in talking at all.
Cathy watched the numbers that signalled the elevator moving upward. She knew Andrew’s car was always parked in the rooftop garage, so they only had two floors to go. The elevator quickly arrived.
Andrew stepped out of the elevator and said, “The elevator will automatically go down to the underground parking lot. There’s no need to swipe your card.” With that, he walked toward his car.
Cathy bit her lip and followed Andrew out of the elevator, trying to catch up to him. “Mr. Coleman, my car broke down and in maintainence. Can I catch a ride with today?”

Andrew had already opened the car door and sat in the driver’s at. As he fastened his seatbelt, he replied indifferently. It’s out of my way.”
Cathy bit her lower lip, looking pitiful as she stood there. She began, “I’m going to…” Her voice trailed off. She wanted to name a place in the same direction as where Andrew was heading, but she didn’t even know where he lived.
