Chapter 54
Alyssa furrowed her brows and asked quickly, “Hello, my position should be in the business department. How come it’s a secretary? Is there a mistake?”
The woman replied in surprise, “No. We received the notification from above, and it’s for a secretary.”
Alyssa cursed through gritted teeth, “Good for you, Andrew.”
The woman looked at her and said, “Ms. Dawson, if you are not satisfied with it, you can choose not to join us. It’s a mutual selection; we won’t force you to do anything.”
Alyssa gave a slight smile. “Just a moment, please.”
With that, she stepped out with her phone, dialing Andrew’s number.
The phone rang twice before being disconnected.
Frustrated, she called again, only to be hung up once more. When she tried for the third time, the number was out of the service area. She knew this meant she had likely been blacklisted.

She let out a sigh, realizing that Andrew was indeed vengeful–just as she had blocked his WhatsApp last time, he retaliated by blocking her number this time.
‘Fine. Good for him. Since I secured the job opportunity through my efforts, I naturally will join the company. We can discuss a transfer later,‘ she pondered.
So, she put her phone back and went back to the small conference room. “Hello, I’m in.”
“Good, just follow the instructions I gave earlier. I have other things to attend to, so I’ll be leaving now. After you’ve filled out the form, hand it to Katy, the one sitting at the entrance in a red dress.”
“Got it.”
The woman left, and Alyssa carefully filled out the form before heading to Katy. She smoothly received her employee badge. Katy said, “Ms. Dawson, please report to the 37th floor. Since you were half an hour late today, you won’t be receiving the bonus for this month.”
Alyssa put on a forced smile, replying through gritted teeth, “Great!”

‘I’m so sick of Andrew!‘ she cursed inwardly.
Getting out of the HR department, she was relieved to have her employee badge, which would allow her to swipe her way up without needing to climb the stairs again.
Upon reaching the 37th floor, she proceeded directly to the secretariat for check–in.
The 37th floor housed Andrew’s office, with the secretariat located just outside of his office.
There were six secretaries in total, each stunningly beautiful, leggy and booby, their professional skirts accentuating their
allure.
Alyssa pursed her lips, speaking ill of Andrew inwardly as an old lecher who actually had so many beautiful women as his
secretaries.
She approached them and began, “Hello, It’s my first day-
Before she could finish, a woman seated at the front abruptly looked up with furrowed brows. “Miss, are you mistaken? The

secretarial office is fully staffed and we’re not hiring”
“There shouldn’t be a mistake,” Alyssa said, but in her heart, she hoped there was a mistake. She didn’t want to be a secretary at all. As a talent in business and design, yet she was here to be a secretary, which excited a great upset in her.
The woman frowned and said, “What do you mean by ‘shouldn’t be a mistake? The secretariat has always been full, and we’re not recruiting either. You must have got it wrong. Oh right it seems the director of the public relations department has been looking for a secretary recently. You must be the one he’s recruiting. Go to the public relations department on the
5th floor.”
Fumed by her attitude, Alyssa frowned as well. “The HR department told me to report to the 37th floor.”
“HR department?” The woman’s eyebrows furrowed even tighter. “What are they doing? How could they make such a mistake? Hold on. I’ll give them a call.”
She had just picked up the phone when a female voice came through. “Sarah, what’s wrong?”
