Chapter 33
Adeline West
Killian and the elders were deep in discussion, the weight of the accusations hanging heavily in the air. My heart pounded in my chest as I waited, barely able to focus on the heated exchanges. Sebastian kept holding my hand.
“Relax,” He murmured,
1 glanced at him. “Just stay calm, okay?” he said.
“Okay.” I nodded, smiling at him. Thankfully, for his support. I felt a heated gaze on me, and I immediately recognized Killian’s intense gaze. It felt like my whole body was on fire.
“I’m here for you; remember that.” He added.
“I know,” I said, with a heartfelt smile on my lips, completely ignoring Killian’s gaze on me.
Samuel stood up from his beat. His expression was serious: “Adeline and Alpha Sebastian, considering the gravity of this situation, I believe it would be best if you stayed at the pack until this matter is fully resolved. It will ensure your safety and allow you to be readily available for any further discussions or hearings.” He said this, and his voice carried the authority of his position
My immediate reaction was one of shock and concern. “Stay here? I’m sorry but I can’t.” I quickly said, “I have my at hotne. Tristan needs me. He’s still recovering from his injuries. I can’t just leave him.” I added, I was trying to be as as possible.
Killian’s face hardened at Samuel’s suggestion, his eyes flashing with anger and frustration. This is ridiculous. They shouldn’t have to stay here against their will. This situation is already problematic enough.” He said.
polite
Samuel remained firm, his gaze steady. I understand your concern, Killian, but this is extremely important. The safety of all parties involved must be considered. Adeline’s presence here could speed up the decision on this issue.” He said, his tone hard and serious.
I felt a surge of panic at the thought of being separated from my children and being here. “But I don’t want to leave them behind. They need their mother, especially after everything that’s happened.” I said.
Samuel’s tone softened slightly, but he remained serious. “You could bring them here. We have the facilities to accommodate your children and provide them with security. It would ensure that they are safe and that you can be here for any further proceedings.” He said, looking at me with a soft expression on his face.
I hesitated, glancing at Sebastian for support. His expression was calm but thoughtful. After a moment, he nodded his head in agreement. “Adeline, it might be best to consider Samuel’s offer. It could provide additional security and might help in resolving the matter more efficiently.” He said.
What! No! I can’t stay here!
Marcus, another elder who had been listening intently, added he voice to the discussion “agree with Samuel. We want to ensure that everyone involved is safe and that the process is handled with the utmost care. Bringing your children here might be the best course of action for their well–being. He said, looking at me.
I felt a knot tighten in my stomach. The thought of relocating Tristan and Bridget, even temporarily, was unsettling. “I understand the need for security but I’m worried about how they will adjust to being here.” I said, my tone filled with worry for my kids.
Samuel’s eyes were compassionate. “We will provide all the necessary accommodations for your children and ensure they are comfortable. Your primary concern should be addressing this issue and ensuring justice is served. We will handle the arrangements” He said,

Sebastian stepped closer, his voice gentle but firm. “Adeline; I know this is difficult, but considering everything that’s happened, it might be the best option. We need to focus on resolving this situation and ensuring that Laurel’s actions are properly addressed,” he said.
I took a deep breath, trying to calm the storm of emotions inside me. The idea of moving my children temporarily was. daunting, but the need for justice and the safety of my family were paramount. With a reluctant nod, I accepted Samuel’s offer. “Alright. If it will help with the resolution of this matter and ensure my children’s safety, I will agree to bring them here I said.
Killian’s expression was dissatisfaction and frustration, but he said nothing further. Laurel, meanwhile, maintained her façade of calmness and, through her eyes, betrayed her uncase.
As Killian stormed out of the meeting hall, his frustration and anger were evident on his face. The sound of the heavy door. slamming shut echoed through the space, leaving a tense silence in its wake. Laurel, with her fake polite smile that did nothing to mask the satisfaction in her eyes, followed him closely, her heels clicking on the marble floor as she walked.
Samuel turned to us with a thoughtful expression. “Thank you for agreeing to stay. We appreciate your cooperation in this matter.” He said, smiling at us.
I nodded, trying to keep my composure despite the whirlwind of emotions still swirling inside me. I don’t know whether I should stay here or not? Sebastian, Mark, and Ethan all offered supportive smiles, though their expressions were tinged with
concern
Samuel continued, “I’ve appointed Elio to take you to the mansion. It’s a nearby estate where you’ll be staying until this prätter is resolved.” He said.
Elio, the one who had welcomed us when we arrived, stepped forward. “If you’ll follow me, I’ll show you to your accommodations.” He said.
As we followed Elio out of the meeting hall, I took one last look at the imposing structure of the Silver Moon Pack’s head. pack house. The building loomed behind us.
The drive to the mansion was short. The architecture of the estate was familiar; it was unmistakably the same grand estate I had once known as Killian’s home. The memories of my time there, the bullying, and the emotional pain inflicted by Killian’s mother and sister surged back through me. It was a bittersweet reminder of my past.
