Chapter 32
Adeline West:
We watched Laurel, her face flushed with anger as she pulled out a stack of documents.
“Here are my call records for the day in question. As you can see I was in constant contact with my assistant and Killian. I also have proof of my whereabouts”
The room fell silent as the documents were passed around. “This is the footage of me in my garden the whole day. You can see it. She said.
A separate video started playing, showing Laurel in her garden, tending to plants and reading a book. The footage was clear. with timestamps indicating her presence in the garden throughout the day. The scene was normal, representing her watering plants and occasionally turning pages of a book.
The room fell silent, with all eyes on the screen. I was taken aback. Laurel’s evidence was carefully detailed, leaving little room for immediate reply. But I could feel it that she has well prepared for our every attack. She has planned the whole. cover up upfront. I felt surge of frustration as I watched. Sebastian’s face tightened with frustration as well. He glanced at me, taken aback by the video.
I took a deep breath, trying to maintain my composure. “This footage proves nothing,” I said, trying to keep my voice steady. “It doesn’t account for the financial transactions or the man’s confession. This video merely shows her being in the garden, but it doesn’t account for her actions before or after that time.”“
Killian’s voice was cold, and his gaze remained fixed on me. “Why would Laurel target you, Adeline? What motive could the possibly have?” He asked, his tone filled with anger and hate.
My anger flared, but I forced myself to stay calm. “Laurel has harassed me throughout my time in the Silver Moon Pack, at the office where I work, along with her friends. Her cruelty has been clear. I’m quite sure the reasons behind her harassment towards me is known to you, Mr. Volkov.” I said, looking straight at him. He knew why she attacked me. I was his wife and her enemy.
“Anyway, the attack on my family was another act of her vendetta” I said.
Laurel’s voice was laced with feigned politeness. “Adeline, you’re letting your anger cloud your judgment. Please don’t lie; I never harassed you, and I even helped you at the office. Why are you lying? I have no reason to target your family. This is nothing more than a misunderstanding.”
I stood my ground, refusing to let her dismiss my claims so easily. “Misunderstanding? My son was injured and has been in the hospital because of this attack. He’s only five years old, and you expect me to believe that this is just a misunderstanding?” I said, anger coursing through my veins.
Killian’s gaze was icy as he tried to back Laurel up. “Adeline, you must understand that these accusations are severe. We need more concrete evidence to convict Laurel. This video and the footage you’ve shown don’t fully support your claim.” He said, his tone hard and sharp.
I felt my heart pound in my chest, but I held onto my confidence “Alpha Killian Volkov, your loyalty to Laurel is clouding your judgment” I said. I noticed the sharp intakes and surprised glances of the elders when I said that, but I ignored the reactions and continued.
“My son’s injury is not something to be taken lightly. We have presented evidence that supports our case, and yet you continue to back Laurel despite the clear facts,” I said, my sharp gaze locking with his cold ones. I noticed him clenching his jaw at the mention of my son, and it confused me a bit
Laurel’s demeanor shifted as she tried to maintain her fake politeness. “Adeline, you’re making a scene. This is not how we resolve issues. We need to handle this with dignity.”
Fcould feel the room’s atmosphere thickening with every passing second. “Dignity? You think you can just dismiss the injury

to my son and his suffering as a mere misunderstanding? I will not let this go.” I said it firmly.
Π
Killian’s frustration was evident as he interjerted. “Adeline, you must realize that accusations alone are not enough to condemn someone. Laurel has provided evidence that she was at home. You need to provide more substantial proof of her involvement.” He said, fisting his hands.
I turned to face the elders, ignoring Killian and his godforsaken over, my voice firm and unwavering. “Elders, my son was in the hospital due to this attack. He’s just a child, and he’s still on the bed, covered in bandages. I am asking for justice, not personal vendettas. Please consider the impact this has had on my family.” I said.
