Chapter 30
Adeline West
As we approached the pack’s territory, I felt fear and determination rushing through my veins. The imposing gates of the Silver Moon Pack loomed ahead, a reminder of my past. But I squared my shoulders and held my head high. This was not the time for fear. As the guards checked our Is and all
“Alpha Sebastian Cooper,” One of the guards bowed his head to Sebastian, who simply nodded at him, and they let us Sebastian is one of the most powerful Alphas around, he’s well known, and his companies are big competition to Volkon The rivalry between Volkov and Cooper is well known.
As the car drove inside, I couldn’t help looking at the city I left four years ago. Its modern towers and buildings, nothing changed, only improved. I can’t stop myself from thinking about how Killian works for his huge park. Anyone can say that the Silver Moon Pack is the largest pack in the werewolf world. It’s vast and so modern that no other park is as vast as this one is. The Crystal Moon pack is big and modern, but it’s not as big as the Silver Moon pack, and that’s why it’s the second largest pack.
My eyes fell on the Volks Tower, where I used to work under Merinda, who worshiped Laurel and bullied on her behalf. It was still the same. All the memories rushed to my mind looking at the tower, the bullies, Killian’s ignorance, then there’s that night where I saved my kids’s father, who then forced himself on me, and we had sex in the darkness, and me finding out Killian’s fny mate, and then finding out he loves Laurel.
Everything began playing in my head, no matter how hard I tried to push them away. As Sebastian kept driving, my eyes fell on the place where I first met Sebastian. Our meeting has led me to meet such an amazing person. I’m so glad that the moon goddess made our way across. I’m very thankful to her.
“Adeline, we are here.” Sebastian said this while stopping in the driveway of a huge pack house. Silver Moon Park has multiple huge pack houses. We were in front of the main packing house, which was the biggest of them all.
Sebastian opened the door for me, and I stepped outside. I took a deep breath and walked towards the huge double doors. The guards opened the door for us.
“Hello, Alpha and everyone. My name is Elio. Welcome to the Silver Moon Pack,” A middle age kind man walked towards us, his tone filled with politeness and a welcoming smile on his lips I’m here to escort you to the meeting hall. Please follow me. He said, bowing a bit.
“Thank you.” Sebastian simply said, and we began following him to the meeting hall
The pack members eyed us curiously as we made our way to the meeting hall. The grand doors loomed ahead, and with each step, my determination hardened. I wasn’t here to relive the past. I was here for justice. I kept telling myself, grilling it into my head
As we entered the grand meeting hall of the Silver Moon Pack, it had never felt so imposing. The stone walls seemed to close in, and the air was charged with an electric tension. I could hear the murmur of voices as we entered, but once the doors closed behind us, the room fell silent. The elders, seated in their high–backed chairs, looked down upon us with stern expressions. Killian, at the head of the table, appeared composed but there was a glint of something unreadable in his eyes.
Each elder’s expression was serious, but the most surprising sight was Killian’s grandfather, Samuel Volkov. He smiled warmly at me, nodding in greeting. It was a small gesture, but it gave me a glimmer of hope in this intimidating setting. He was Killian’s Grandfather?
I was shocked and surprised but I quickly masked it up.
“Welcome, Alpha Sebastian Cooper, Beta Ethan Jones, Warrior Lucas Anderson and Adeline West.” Killian’s grandfather, Samuel, said, his voice calm and authoritative. “Please, take your seats. He added
We took our seats opposite them; Sebastian sat on my right, Ethan on my left, and Lucas beside Sebastian. I could feel the weight of every gaze upon us, especially that of Killian and Laurel. Laurel sat with an air of smug confidence, dressed in a

striking blue dress that screained arrogance. Killian, beside her, poked every bit at Alpha, his expression hard and unyielding. The sight of Laurel made my blood boil, but I forced myself to remain calm. This was about justice for Tristan, and I couldn’t let my emotions get the better of me.
“Thank you for agreeing to this meeting.” Sebastian said in his calm tone.
“We appreciate you bringing this matter to our attention.” Killian’s grandpa, Samuel said. “We are here to address the serious accusations brought forth by Alpha of the Crystal Moon Pack, Sebastian Cooper and Adeline West, CEO and Founder of the Moonluxe companies, against Laurel Parker” He said.
I noticed the small smile and pride in his eyes when he mentioned me and my company, which warmed my heart. I know Samuel Volkov from my grandmother. She told me how good friends my grandpa and he were. But looking back, I didn’t know that he was Samuel Volkov. “You may present your evidence.” He said to us,
Sebastian stepped forward, his demeanor calm but authoritative Killian’s eyes locked on him with disdain and suspicion. The tension between the two was evident, their rivalry adding another layer of tension to the proceedings.
“Thank you, Elder Samuel, and thank you all for the meeting on such short notice. We are here to show that Laurel Parker set up an attack on Adeline and her family. We have evidence to substantiate this claim”
Killian’s gaze shifted from Sebastian to me and then back to him. He leaned forward, his voice dripping with a hint of bitterness. Alpha Sebastian, why are you so invested in this case? Is there something personal behind your interest?” He asked, glancing at me with a serious look on his face.
Sebastian’s demeanor remained calm and composed “Alpha Killian Volkov, the attack was directed at my pack member’s family. As the Alpha of the Crystal Moon Pack, it is my duty to ensure the safety and justice of those under my protection.” He said
