Chapter 1383
Why was it that she, Isabella, had clawed her way up with all her might, only to end up scorned by Clark and rejected by Leopold, who would rather die than have her?
And yet Thalassa, who wanted nothing more than her four kids, ended up catching the
eye of Lysander and even scored a rich, high-flying daddy.
Isabella burned with resentment. Anyone could rise from the ashes, but Thalassa? That was unacceptable!
She couldn’t stand seeing Thalassa on top. Her family was in even more dire straits, so she should have stayed down in the dumps instead of getting lifted up by some benefactor and shining even brighter than her!
Over the past three days, as Thalassa’s health improved, she spent her time tending to Astrid in the hospital.
The kids were whisked away by Zephyr, leaving no word behind.
Her heart was heavy with thoughts of Lysander. She tried calling David for news, but he wasn’t picking up.
Maybe Zephyr had clamped down, forbidding David from contacting her.
Astrid had had her arm crushed, and struggled to eat with her hand in a sling.
Carefully, Thalassa spoon-fed her, taking every caution.
As Thalassa kept vigil by Astrid’s side, she shared how Lysander was seriously hurt trying to save her and how Zephyr had taken the children away.
Zephyr had even laid down the law forbidding Thalassa from seeing her kids or Lysander ever again.
Having already lost her mother, Thalassa was how barred from seeing her own children.
Astrid knew Thalassa must be in agony, yet she suppressed her pain, caring for her as if nothing was wrong,
With a soft sigh, Astrid said, “Thalassa, tomorrow, head to Starhaven. What you yearn is there.”
Thalassa’s body was in Hollowbrook, but her spirit was elsewhere, her heart knit to the people of Starhaven.
At that, Thalassa paused, her spoonful of soup frozen midway to Astrid’s lips. She understood what her aunt meant.

Chapter 1383
The pain she had been holding back began to seep into her heart like a rising tide.
Swallowing the bitterness, she replied, “I’ll make plans once you’re discharged.”
With Zephyr blocking her path, a trip to Starhaven would be fruitless. She would be helpless and alone.
Her heart ached for Lysander and the kids, but with Zephyr in the way, no plan could bring them together.
David’s silence was proof of Zephyr’s blockade.
As Thalassa fed Astrid, a man’s voice suddenly rang out at the door, breathless and urgent.
“Thalassa! I’ve got news for you!” It was Richard, panting from haste at the doorway.
Her heart leaped to her throat.
Was Richard bearing news of Lysander?
How was Lysander, and had the surgery been a success?
