Chapter 1365
Susan’s lips curled into a triumphant smirk as she swiftly maneuvered the helicopter back to base.
She had deceived Callum. How could she ever dream of killing Lysander? He was the epitome of excellence, with his enchanting charm and deep pockets.
One day, Lysander would be hers, all hers. Only by his side could she bask in the lap of luxury, with never a worry about the mundane necessities of life.
How could she possibly extinguish the life of the man she adored and yearned for so deeply?
Her true target was Thalassa-the thorn in her side.
It was because of Thalassa that she couldn’t catch Lysander’s eye. Even if she managed to sever the ties between Thalassa and Lysander, he would still be fixated on Thalassa.
As long as Thalassa drew breath, no woman could come within a mile of Lysander-and that included Susan. That’s why she was so hell-bent on eradicating Thalassa from the picture.
Only with Thalassa out of the way could she have a shot at getting close to Lysander.
Minutes later, the ambulance and the first responders arrived.
Astrid was extracted from the rubble, unconscious and barely hanging on.
Lysander and Astrid were rushed to the local hospital for treatment.
Thalassa followed closely behind the ambulance, her body soaked in blood that was not her own. Her clothes were a grisly tapestry of red, the blood mixed with dirt painting a harrowing scene.
The paramedic aboard the ambulance asked her, “Are you injured too? Speak up can take care of you right away.”
Thalassa, her breaths short and her eyes brimming with tears, shook her head. “I’n fine-it’s his blood. Please, you have to save him. I’m begging you.”
She was a cocktail of cold, shock, and fear, her body shaking uncontrollably.
Inside the ambulance, two medics were frantically attending to Lysander’s wounds.
His clothes had been cut away to reveal his back, marred by five deep, stone-inflicted gashes from which blood oozed relentlessly. They worked to stem the flow, stuffing wad of cotton into the wounds, but the blood seemed to have a will of its own, refusing to be contained.
Half the ambulance seemed littered with blood-soaked cotton.

Chapter 1365
Thalassa watched in helpless panic, her heart in a vice that only tightened, the pain intensifying to an unbearable pitch.
The brief journey to the hospital felt like an eternity to Thalassa.
Finally, they arrived.
Doctors, nurses, and Thalassa herself helped carry Lysander from the ambulance. Every second was a battle against the reaper as they rushed him toward the emergency room.
“Excuse me, please move aside! We need to get through-it’s an emergency,” a doctor called out urgently to the onlookers blocking the way.
Thalassa followed closely, her steps heavy yet hurried, until they reached the doors of the emergency room. As they wheeled Lysander in a nurse stopped Thalassa. “Family members should wait outside, please.”
Thalassa paused, her tear-blurred eyes straining for one last glimpse of Lysander through the glass doors, but all she could see was a blur.
Then, she slumped to the floor, her entire body shaking from the coldness of the ceramic.
