Chapter 153
*Come out within the next minute.” Xavier’s commanding voice came through the phone.

Come out?
Yvette tightly gripped her phone and looked outside the window. “Are you here?”
“What do you think?” That said, Xavier immediately ended the call.
Yvette stared at the disconnected call and turned to Claude, feeling a bit awkward, “I’m sorry. Something came up. I need to go back.”
Claude wanted to ask what was going on. However, when he saw her anxious and urgent expression, he nodded and kept his questions to himself. “Alright, be careful.”
Yvette then grabbed her bag and left quickly.
Claude stood up and walked to the balcony. His expression was conflicted as he watched her disappear from sight.
Outside the villa, a Cadillac was parked by the gate. It was matte black and blended with the night.
Yvette approached the car uncertainly. The window slowly rolled down, revealing Xavier sitting in the driver’s seat.
His profile was stern, and the cold air around him seemed to lower the temperature inside the car.
He looked at the hurriedly approaching Yvette with a stormy expression. “Get in,” he instructed.
Yvette wondered how Xavier had managed to get here. After all, this was a private area. Still, she opened the door and sat in the passenger seat.
Xavier started the car and drove out of the neighborhood. As they left, Yvette noticed that the gate outside was filled with a dense crowd of bodyguards.
A sense of fear crept into her heart.
Suddenly, Xavier said coldly, “It seems like you had a lot of fun today.”
“It was alright,” Yvette replied. She wasn’t sure what he meant by that.
“How about you lying to me? Was that fun too? Xavier asked as he floored the accelerator.
The rapidly passing scenery outside made Yvette even more terrified, “What did I lie to you about?” She tried to stay calm.
Not expecting her to still play dumb, Xavier suddenly slammed on the brakes. The abrupt stop nearly made Yvette hit her head.
Before she could react, Xavier leaned over and grabbed her arm with a grip so strong that it almost crushed her bones.
In the pitch–black night, the dim light inside the car only allowed Yvette to see Xavier’s face. She didn’t
notice the redness in his eyes.
“Daphne was right. You are a liar,” Xavier spat.

His words hit Yvette like a bolt of thunder.
She looked at Xavier in disbelief. “What did you say?”
“I saw you picking up Claude at the airport with my own eyes today,” Xavier whispered heavily in her ear.
“You didn’t come back to Dewberry Manor tonight because you wanted to be with him, didn’t you? Were
you planning to spend the whole night with him, doing
His words were cut short as Yvette raised her hand to slap him. But before her hand could make contact, Xavier caught her wrist in a firm grip.
He sneered. “I caught you again, huh? Can’t control yourself, can you? Why not keep lying?”
Yvette could only hear a ringing in her ears, and her vision was blurred by tears. Her lips quivered as she whispered, “Xavier, you’re too much.”
Those hurtful words he had spouted were as piercing as a winter wind. Xavier was a heartless man.
Upon hearing this, Xavier only grew more furious. He raised his hand to Yvette’s cheek. Her face was cold, and her body was trembling slightly.
“If you think this is too much, wait until you see what I do next.” He snarled, reaching to unbutton her shirt. As they were still in the car, Yvette hurriedly evaded his touch. “You bastard!”
Xavier ignored her. He even got rougher.
Yvette had never felt such humiliation. Unable to overpower Xavier, she had her face pressed against the car window.
“Isn’t this what you’ve always wanted? I’ll give you everything you want today.”
